Reason for requesting afc helper script rights Rahmatula786 (talk) 14:46, 1 January 2025 (UTC)

I want to review Nepal related Articles for Creation (AfC) articles on Wikipedia to help clean up and review newly created articles while assisting contributors in adhering to Wikipedia’s guidelines. I have a good understanding of key policies such as notability, reliable sourcing, and neutrality, and I am familiar with improving draft articles and evaluating them for publication. By becoming an AfC reviewer, I aim to expand Wikipedia’s quality content and support the community by providing constructive feedback to new editors. I am confident in my ability to uphold Wikipedia's standards and contribute meaningfully to the review process.

Probation, which will be evaluated in 3-6 months. Being on probation only means that you can be removed from the list for any reason without prior discussion. Primefac (talk) 18:22, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
I have been editing on Wikipedia for a while now and think I can lend my services to be helpful elsewhere, such as through AfC. Meet all the criteria to apply. Epluribusunumyall (talk) 04:30, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

Not done, poor AFD stats and a number of articles sent to the draft space or deleted. Primefac (talk) 16:39, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
Reason for requesting afc helper script rights: I have achieved 500 mainspace edits and I want to welcome new articles to wikipedia when they are worthy. I also want to clear the backlog. I have published a total of 4 articles, worked in CSD and XFD as well. Cooldudeseven7 join in on the tea talk 17:29, 9 January 2025 (UTC)

Probation, which will be evaluated in 3-6 months. Being on probation only means that you can be removed from the list for any reason without prior discussion. This is mainly on account of the edit warring block and AFD stats. Primefac (talk) 16:39, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
I'm interested in being an AfC reviewer, to help with the back log and to learn whether this system could be useful to svWP, which is my home base and the language version where I'm active on a daily basis. Bringing Swedish and French to the table, as well as some Norwegian, Danish and German. Interest in History, Church, and Politics. Would also bring skills in Accounting, Finance and Public Administration (European style) to the table. OJH (talk) 21:06, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

You're very close to meeting them though, @OJH, so come back soon if you're still inclined. -- asilvering (talk) 21:01, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
My bad for not checking properly. I'll hang back for a while, but wanted to say that @Asilvering's extra comment was very encouraging and I think you should continue in the same style to foster a kind environment. Thanks! OJH (talk) 08:33, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
I would like to review drafts to help reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts and support others in improving their submissions. I have carefully read the guidelines and discussions and have also monitored cases of drafts being accepted or rejected by the current AfC team. I have also actively participated in AfD discussions and understand which drafts are likely to survive or fail AfD. Additionally, I have experience removing unnecessary promotional content from multiple pages. I believe my background and efforts would make me an effective reviewer. Thank you! For a long time, I have been reviewing changes and new pages created on Wikipedia. I think I can also contribute by reviewing drafts. TouchedWithFire (talk) 06:21, 19 January 2025 (UTC)
You are neither a PCR nor an NPR, so I am not sure entirely what you mean by "reviewing changes and new pages". Primefac (talk) 14:17, 19 January 2025 (UTC)
Not done for now. You're only just barely over the minimum requirements, and I have some other vague concerns that I think you'll be able to alleviate with a bit more editing. Consider taking part in discussions at AFD to demonstrate your knowledge of notability criteria. Thanks for applying, and I hope to see you back in a couple of months. -- asilvering (talk) 19:10, 19 January 2025 (UTC)
Hello. I am interested in getting involved in the AfC process in order to help improve Wikipedia. My account is several years old, but I started becoming more active around November. I've taken sides on multiple RfCs and AfDs, and I hope to continue those in the future, so I have a general grasp of Wikipedia policies. guninvalid (talk) 06:34, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
Not done, does not meet minimum criteria. -- asilvering (talk) 06:43, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
I'd like to become more active working with newish editors and AfC seems like a good place to do so. I've been active at AfD since 2023 and so am familiar with the notability criteria. To date I've mostly edited existing pages, but have created a couple myself. I also have some experience working with both new and COI editors. I've read and understood the Reviewing instructions. I have 850 edits and 4y. old account which meets the basic requirements. The only articles that I've made that have been deleted were nominated by me (1st one was a hoax that a sock spread throughout various pages and the 2nd was a bit redundant). I've never edit warred or taken part in any very controversial discussions. Now, I'd like to review AfCs so that I can help improve the quality of the articles approved. ☢️SCR@TCH!NGH3@D (talk) 15:31, 26 January 2025 (UTC)

Not done, fails minimum numerical requirements, AFD stats are problematic. Primefac (talk) 15:35, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
Sir I believe I meet (or at least barely meet) the numerical requirements and my AfD stats is basically 1 article sent for deletion (and by me). However, I'll work harder because I can see that the other applicants have far more experience in AfD of other articles and my edit count is below 1k which everyone seems to have. Thank you sir ☢️SCR@TCH!NGH3@D (talk) 09:59, 27 January 2025 (UTC)

New (Feb)

Hello, I would like to join WikiProject Articles for Creation as a reviewer. I have been editing Wikipedia for several years and have experience with creating and improving articles, including work on Biographies of Living Persons (BLP). I am familiar with Wikipedia's notability guidelines, sourcing policies, and editorial standards.

I would love to contribute by reviewing drafts, assisting new editors, and helping maintain the quality of newly created articles. Please consider adding me to the list of participants. Thanks! Endrabcwizart (talk) 11:03, 3 February 2025 (UTC)

I was going to say yes, but your AFD stats are, quite frankly, atrocious. When part of our job is to evaluate whether a draft will pass AFD if accepted, how do you rectify the disconnect between your editing experience and your AFD stats? Primefac (talk) 20:54, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
I understand your concern about my AFD stats. While my past record may not be the strongest, I continuously learn from past discussions to improve my approach. I want to assure you that I don’t rush decisions—I carefully review Wikipedia’s policies, especially WP:BLP, and WP:N, before making any judgment. My priority is to verify the reliability of references and ensure there are no copyright violations. I take a cautious approach when evaluating drafts, and if I’m not fully confident, I prefer to skip rather than make a biased decision. I'm always open to learning, improving, and receiving constructive feedback. Endrabcwizart (talk) 08:40, 10 February 2025 (UTC)

I sometimes go on the AFC help desk to help out new users(even though I am currently not a reviewer) and would like to be an actual reviewer. I also have quite some experience cleaning up vandalism and am a recent changes patroller. I have 2100+ edits and have been here for approx 2-3 years. Hello! I went to review a draft after a long while of minimal edits and realized that I no longer had access to the AFCH script. I could not find where it had been removed, so I looked through some edit histories and found this diff, which appears to be where it was taken away. It makes sense that I was taken off of the list, but unfortunately my NPR rights were only temporary. I would like to get back to editing, including reviewing drafts, soon. May I have the AFCH script again? Thanks! —asparagusus (interaction) sprouts! 19:19, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
@Asparagusus, is there a reason you prefer not to re-apply for NPR? If you do that, you won't need AFCHP. -- asilvering (talk) 20:40, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
@Asilvering, I have already applied for NPR and gotten a temporary right twice, and I would like to spend time building up my base of editing so I do not have to worry about impending deadlines and making the most of my user rights. When I have had the NPR right, I have not used it as much as I would have liked to. If you think I can get a longer temporary period or permanent NPR rights, then I will go apply there. My edit count probably barely meets the minimum criteria, but I believe that I have a good grasp of all the policies since I have contributed to multiple areas. I would like to request for these rights on a trial basis, since I really want to work on reducing the backlog. I would like to disclose that I have one draft submitted to AfC, since I wanted some external opinions on the article before it got published. I will not review that article myself if I get these rights. TNM101 (chat) 13:44, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
Was there any truth to the tag placed on Draft:Airplane touring that it was AI-generated? Primefac (talk) 01:59, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
Nope. I found a source that stated some of the lines and then I used my own sentences to fill in the rest. Then I checked and I found the source wasn't exactly great and there weren't many other sources on the topic. That's why I requested CSD deletion, not because of the AI tag TNM101 (chat) 04:23, 17 February 2025 (UTC)

Hi Wikipedians, I have been editing Wikipedia for nearly eight months now, have received nine thanks, and have made more than 1,000 edits (around 900 of which were not deleted edits). I spent two hours reading the reviewing instructions and notability guidelines to further understand the scope of being a reviewer on Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation. Additionally, I have enabled AFCH in my gadget preferences and believe that I understand the WP:Deletion Policy, a policy on how articles, media, redirects, and various other pages that don't meet the relevant criteria for content of Wikipedia are identified and removed from Wikipedia. I believe that I meet the requirements to be an AFC reviewer after reading through WP:Deletion Policy and Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Reviewing instructions. You don't have 500 undeleted edits, let alone 500 undeleted edits to articles. As far as the other requirements go, you also have no AfD experience, and your sole article creation was deleted via A7 (it was also on a topic with which you appear to have a COI), so I would suggest getting more experience with notability guidelines before applying again, regardless of how many edits you have. -- asilvering (talk) 12:15, 7 March 2025 (UTC)

Hello! I am a fairly new editor, but I know all of the policies. I have helped at AfD before (83.3%) and done editing in various subjects. I have no outstanding issues (copyvio, references, etc.). Of my two drafts, One was beaten to the main space by another draft. The other is sitting in the backlog. If I am rejected, please let me know what I should work on. Thank you for your time. Hello! I'm interested in becoming an AfC reviewer. My account age has only just hit 90 days, but I have created 14 articles (5 through AfC) and have participated in about 160 AfD discussions. I also have experience with CSD tagging and have been active in reviewing potential copyright issues at Copypatrol. Hi! I've been editing and creating dozens of articles, many of them about living female politicians, both via AfC and directly over the past few years. I have also helped improve many other pages to meet Wikipedia’s standards. I’m familiar with core policies such as notability and verifiability, and have participated in multiple deletion discussions. Therefore, I’m ready to help with the line of articles waiting for review at AfC. I have also had some of my own articles deleted or rejected, so I know which pages are most likely to be removed or accepted. Old-AgedKid (talk) 12:49, 26 March 2025 (UTC)

Hey, I'm interested in reviewing AfCs and would like to request access to this tool, as I believe that I have now gained enough experience to productively contribute here. I read and understood the relevant instructions, policies, and guidelines, and I satisfy the necessary formal requirements. Due to the current backlog, I believe that now would be a good time to start. On the question of relevant experience: I have created or translated eight articles, leading to two DYKs. Particularly in the first half of 2024, I have participated in what I believe is a sufficient number of AfDs (many of which have been contentious); excluding NC, the tool states that I have an 88,5 % match rate. I have also worked within a pretty contentious topic (I/P) without sanctions, and am active at RSN, which should indicate the ability to evaluate sources. Thank you! I'll go by the criteria, which I hope is okay.
  • My Wikipedia account is over 90 days old, nearing a year now.
  • I do have 500+ undeleted edits, as of writing this close to 2,000 (98.1% of my total edits, as you can see here on my xtools) [1]
  • I've fully read them, and have enabled the AfC helper script, also having read its instructions on how to use, when to use and why it may be useful.
  • I read through the policies and guidelines in reviewing instructions, ensuring I understand them (including reFill). As for notability guidelines, I read through the main one I hope to be able to do (events, I'll elaborate on this later) and will remember to always refer to any of the notability guidelines in the future.
  • I don't have much evidence of myself often trying to delete articles (at least not recently). However, I made sure to read through all the wikipedia guidelines relating to this and testing out how to use them to ensure I'm not confused when this does become relevant to me.
  • I check Wikipedia quite frequently in case of any changes to for example my edits or mentions for discussions. I respond quite quickly, and I'm not a busy person at all, so I have quite a lot of time to do this.

Further information:
I feel that this project is something that would personally interest me. I've already spent my time before simply assessing articles (though not very recently, though it was definitely around 50 or so?). I do have my experience with helping inexperienced editors try and get into Wikipedia and teaching them multiple things that could help them. As for what I meant by being focused on events, I think you can see by my user profile I primarily deal with history (which I'd definitely say falls under events). I was wondering whether it's okay for me to mainly focus on that? If not for whatever reason, then I'll gladly make sure to spend my time checking out all sorts of articles for creation. However, this is just a personal preference. If you need to ask me anything further about this, go ahead! Setergh (talk) 10:06, 19 April 2025 (UTC)

I forgot to add, but I also do definitely have lots of experience with page creation in general and this project itself when I just started Wikipedia. You can see all of my pages (created or heavily revamped) on my userpage. Setergh (talk) 10:07, 19 April 2025 (UTC)

Reason for requesting afc helper script rights
I would like to help with reducing the AFC backlog by becoming an AFC reviewer. I have created six articles (one was created from a redirect) and contributed extensively to them to ensure that they do not fall afoul of the deletion policy. I've also experienced situations when new articles do not meet the requirements as, prior to my successful page creations, I had two declined through AFC several years ago and decided to not continue creating them due to a lack of SIGCOV. Hi! I'm TheNuggeteer. I'm not really a new user, since I have been in Wikipedia for 1 year (albeit with breaks and other stuff). I'm experienced in notability and page deletion since I have created the deletion pages of about 15 pages. I have also created 86 articles and 7,000 edits. I actually had rights to AFC through being a new page reviewer but have lost them through a topic ban (a fault on my end). I want to regain my reviewing rights to help articles strive in Wikipedia. Thanks, 🍗TheNuggeteer🍗 (My "blotter") 03:19, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
I am going to have to think on this. On the one hand, you were only topic-banned for six months from reviewing pages, but on the other hand you were topic-banned from reviewing pages. There is also the issue of about ~10% of your articles being deleted. That being said your AFD stats are reasonable and it doesn't look like you broke your topic ban at any point. If successful the usual probationary checks will then take place after the usual 3-6 month period. Primefac (talk) 00:32, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
I confirm that I've reviewed the eligbility criteria for AfC and have refreshed myself with relevant Wikipedia policies and guidelines as evidenced by >25+ articles (all live and reviewed by NPPs) contributed within past month and 1000+ edits with participitation in RfCs, AfDs, and talk page discussions. Thanks!— WeWake (talk) 02:24, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
Probation, which will be evaluated in 3-6 months. Being on probation only means that you can be removed from the list for any reason without prior discussion. Primefac (talk) 00:32, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
I'm requesting AfC reviewer permissions based on my experience with article expansion and review, particularly in science and technology. Over 90% of my edits are in the main namespace, and I've actively contributed to over 50 articles with 10+ edits each. I've participated in nearly 50 combined AfD, PROD, and AfC discussions, with a 92.9% alignment with final closures (excluding "No Consensus"). My approach to AfD is preservation through improvement where reliable sources exist, while at AfC, I focus on ensuring well-sourced content and supporting new editors. Being bilingual (English and German) helps with sourcing. I enjoy editing and appreciate the chance to make a meaningful impact. Given the backlog of over 3,000 pending AfC submissions, I believe I can help maintain high quality while reducing the queue. Thank you for your consideration. I’d like to help with reviewing new page creations; there are many new articles being created and I’m sure most of them are wonderful and deserve to be reviewed as possible additions. I’ve been an editor for a few years now, and I’d like to think I communicate well with others, which I’ve always appreciated when folks give me feedback (both on and off Wikipedia). I hope to lean into that strength a bit and use it encourage meaningful improvements to drafts when it seems like an article just needs that extra little bit of attention before hitting the main space. Not everything is worthy of addition of course, but I always appreciate the potential of someone new to a group/area/job/team who has that spark of “new-person-energy” that might just need some light steering into the proper direction where they can really shine. I would like to request AfC reviewer rights. Initially, I misunderstood the requirement, thinking it pertained to 500 total edits. I have since learned that it specifically requires 500 undeleted edits in the article (main) namespace. I have now met this criterion. I have read and understood the reviewing instructions and am familiar with Wikipedia's content policies, including notability and verifiability. I am eager to assist in reviewing pending AfC submissions. Afstromen (talk) 09:31, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
@Primefac Hi there, just checking in on my AFC reviewer request. I’ve noticed that some users who applied after me have already been approved, so I was wondering if there’s a reason for the delay in my case. I’d appreciate any update when you get a chance. Thanks!

Not done, I am concerned with your multiply-declined draft in a short span of time. Primefac (talk) 11:26, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
Hi, I understand your concern, but I want to clarify that the "multi-declined" draft was due to my early misinformation (which I’ll explain). If you look at the data, all those issues happened within my first month on Wikipedia, when I was just exploring as a newcomer with very little experience.
When I joined, I wanted to create an article using the Article Wizard, and I chose my school—not knowing that doing so was a COI. I wasn’t aware of the relevant policies or guidelines back then. I submitted the draft, it was rejected, and I resubmitted it without changes. Again rejected. I contacted the reviewer, who said it lacked reliable sources with significant coverage. I didn’t understand what that meant, especially as no policy links were provided.
Later, while editing my userpage, I clicked a red link and accidentally published a new page. I thought it was a shortcut to bypass draft review and publish directly. It was quickly flagged for speedy deletion. Then I created the draft again, which got a PROD notice. I removed the tag, thinking I needed to explain, but it was taken to AfD and flagged with multiple issues. That's when I finally understood it didn't meet Wikipedia’s standards—so I didn’t contest the AfD.
Since then, I’ve studied the guidelines and actively participated in AfDs, which I believe shows my improved understanding.

@Asilvering Drafts declined? are you serious right now? i have created more than 35+ C and start rated articles with 1k+ edits, only one of them was deleted (and that's been long when i just joined Wikipedia and still learning editing over 6 months now). All my articles are self published and i have never sent and article to the AFC Section at all for, talk of declining. Before applying, i made sure to go through each of the users who were given the permission, for instance PunjabiEditor69 with 835 mainspace edits and 21 articles is privileged, like seriously? Infact, i don't even draft, i published directly to mainspace, even top contributors like GoingBatty are the one always helping do minor cleanups on my pages. Any article decline you see on my profile is from over 7 months ago. Cameremote (talk) I came from a remote place 23:14, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
Forgive my imprecision: you're having articles moved to draftspace, as recently as today, for having no sources at all. -- asilvering (talk) 00:06, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
Yeah I acknowledge that, I literally queued 4 articles and published forgot that I hadn't sourced the last one, thats not usually me as you can tell from my page creation history. However I have pushed it back to mainspace immediately I got the notification. It was a slip. But if we should be fair here, I deserve even a month probation. I requested the last time over 5 months ago you dismissed me. The last time you brought an excuse of AFC decline, I acknowledged and left, it shouldn't be same. However, I respect your decision nevertheless. Cameremote (talk) I came from a remote place 00:27, 3 June 2025 (UTC)

I'll do this by the criteria if that's okay :)
  • My account is four years old.
  • I have 1,032 undeleted edits to mainspace articles
  • I have read the instructions
  • My understanding of the guidelines is demonstrated by my article creation and experience at AfD
  • I have some experience at AfD
  • I am no longer on wikibreak/exam break and I am free to help.

I'd love to help at AfC as I've made many of my own articles (in no particular order: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 although some of these are better than others and GAN are bolded). I plan on mostly focusing on drafts that obviously do not meet the guidelines (ex. drafts that are clearly written to promote a company for instance). » Gommeh (he/him) 14:33, 23 June 2025 (UTC)

I'd like to help trim the backlog and help get articles reviewed faster. I know when I was new to Wikipedia, it took a while to get my article reviewed but the reviewer was really kind and helpful. I want to bring that experience (at greater speed) to more editors. Nixleovel (He/They) (TalkContribs) 22:41, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
Not done for now, you barely have 500 edits and your AFD stats are lacking. Primefac (talk) 17:02, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
