I had originally thought these were disruptive but on closer examination, I think they are likely good faith edits. -Ad Orientem (talk) 02:19, 14 March 2025 (UTC)

There have been too many times when multiple rounds of improper edits/vandalism on pages I follow have required individual reversions, so having the rollback permission would be useful. Coining (talk) 04:09, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
Hello. I wanted to inquire if there is any particular reason my rollback permission request has not been processed in the last half month. I have continued to patrol Recent Changes, and I believe I meet all of the other listed criteria. Thank you. Coining (talk) Coining (talk) 22:11, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
@CoiningFastily used to handle all the requests here very well, but unfortunately they left. I'll see if I can get an admin that's willing to do this come over. Myrealnamm (💬Let's talk · 📜My work) 15:32, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
Coining, I saw a few reverts where you didn't explain, but when I looked at the edits it was clear why you reverted. Still, I'd like to see that in edit summaries also, and rollback also means you should explain why you're rolling back. Can you tell me you will be (more) diligent with edit summaries? Thanks, Drmies (talk) 15:56, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
Hi @Drmies. I've tried (hopefully successfully) to follow the instructions on any undo proposed submission page that say "If you are undoing an edit that is not vandalism, explain the reason in the edit summary." I interpreted that as meaning that if an edit is to undo vandalism them no explanation is desired. If, however, that is not the advisable practice, I will gladly include something like "Reverting vandalism" in appropriate edit summaries going forward (both for undos and rollbacks). Thank you. Coining (talk) 19:39, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
DoneCoining, hey--yes, but that's sort of the minimum. The way I look at it, people asking for rollback are editors who are looking for "meta" functionality--not just article writing, but also editor behavior and policy, and the final station there is adminship. The people most successful at that are those who are most communicative, and those edit summaries are part of it. Does that make sense? I have high hopes. Good luck with the tool, Drmies (talk) 22:19, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
Absolutely makes sense. I was just trying to follow the instructions. Perhaps I'll make a suggestion at WP:UNDO that the language on "undo" pages be clarified. Be well. Coining (talk) 22:29, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
I mainly edit on pages related to sportscar racing, where unregistered users often edit multiple small things (often going against the page consensus at the time) in the span of a few minutes. This role would be particularly useful to be able to rollback these edits at once. I check my watchlist multiple times a day and I am quite active in general. Thanks for your time. SportscarFan2004 (talk) 09:40, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
SportscarFan2004, the only problem I'm seeing is inconsistent use of edit summaries. When using rollback, you'll need to include a edit summary that explains why the revert happened. Would you mind trying this for a few days, then ping me? Joyous!Noise! 16:31, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
@Joyous!: thanks for getting back to me! The past day, I've been patrolling Special:RecentChanges today, and when I encountered unsourced material or vandalizations, I reverted and left an edit summary. Hopefully this is enough; if not, I can try doing this for a couple more days. Thank you! SportscarFan2004 (talk) 23:35, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
I appreciate the extra effort you've been taking. Thanks! And enjoy your new button. Joyous!Noise! 02:01, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
I request rollback rights. I need rollback rights to more conveniently eliminate vandalism in English wiki. In addition, I have rollback rights on Russian wiki and I am also actively eliminating cross-wiki vandalism. I have read the rollback policy and am ready to follow it. Oostpulus, I'd really like to see more edits here before granting this permission. Increasing your use of edit summaries would help, also. I should be able to glance at a summary and get at least a general idea of why you reverted someone. There is a preference you can choose that will prompt you to create an edit summary before posting an edit. I recommend it highly. Joyous!Noise! 16:38, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
Ok, I will more often indicate the reasons for reverting the edits. Oostpulus (talk) 16:52, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
It turns out that the request was denied? Oostpulus (talk) 16:57, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
For now, yes. I'd like to see evidence of the edit summaries before granting. Joyous!Noise! 17:20, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
I am kindly requesting rollback permissions for myself, in order to revert vandalism using the Huggle tool. E6400 (talk) 14:24, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
E6400 I can do that, but I need you to tell me that you will leave edit summaries when you revert. You're leaving warnings, and that's great, but a revert needs an explanation. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 15:58, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
Drmies Thank you for letting me know. I will always leave a note in the edit summary when I revert, unless I am reverting blatant vandalism. E6400 (talk) 23:44, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
Hi, I requested for this right a few weeks ago, which MusikBot will flag up. The reason I was declined was mainly because I had not met the 200 mainspace edit threshold needed for my application to go through. A concern was also raised about one of my edits, saying that I had jumped to conclusions about an editor a bit quickly and had gone too fast with the warnings. I am now trying to be better at using the warning system more fairly and helpfully and I hope that I have addressed this concern. Most of my edits on Wikipedia have been fighting against vandalism and with this tool, I will be able to fight it more efficiently. ScrabbleTiles (talk) 15:27, 24 February 2025 (UTC)

I'm requesting rollback rights to enhance my ability to fight vandalism. I Would like to try out AntiVandal tool. I'm a Mobile user, so Rollback will be very useful for me. I'm active in recent changes, pending changes, and new pages patrol, and I understand rollback is for clear vandalism cases. I'll use it responsibly. Here is my Undo/Revert History : [2]
Hello, I would like to request rollback rights. I have made many reverts using undo and I use SWviewer/Twinkle to revert vandalism (see this to see my reverts). I understand the policies of rollback and have thoroughly read through the rollback policies and guidlines. I have experience with rollback on Meta and Simple English. I hope that I would receive the rights (permenant or for a probation period).— Cactus🌵spikyouch 09:45, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
I usually manual revert edits and undo revisions, particularly in Nepal-related articles, where vandalism is more common. Having rollback rights would help me efficiently maintain the accuracy and quality of these pages. WikiMentor01 (talk) 09:22, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
WikiMentor01, your last three reverts ([3], [4], and especially [5]) are, first of all, not good edits, and secondly you didn't explain why you were reverting, which for me is essential always and especially if one makes reverting easier with rollback. I'm sorry, but we're going to have to see more attention being paid to the quality of the edit, and more awareness of the need to communicate. Drmies (talk) 17:27, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
I've been editing on Wikipedia since May 2024, and often times see IP accounts or newly created accounts cause disruption, vandalism or spread misinformation across vital articles. I have to manually revert their edits most of the times. Since I have been working on improving and expanding a few high exposure articles, I believe rollback rights would give me a large boost in handling vandalism. Swoonfed(Ping) 14:58, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
User:Swoonfed I see a lot of good edits from you, but not really the kind of edits where you'd need rollback--maybe I saw one in the last two or three hundred. Drmies (talk) 21:24, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
Hello. While editing articles I've sometimes encountered IP editors or inexperienced editors vandalize articles through a few edits at a time and I have to manually copy the entirety of the stable article before and then revert their edits, which is why I wanted rollback rights. Though, it is indeed true that I mostly edit articles and have not patrolled recent changes. Swoonfed(Ping) 21:46, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
Rollback only works in situations where you could use "undo" as well. The only difference is that rollback undoes an entire series of edits by one editor or IP. This tells me that the time is not yet ripe. Not doneDrmies (talk) 22:29, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
Despite the fact that I took a somewhat lengthy Wikibreak, I've had over a month's experience of patrolling Recent Changes to combat vandalism. I have read WP:Rollback as well as have consistently notifying users of their reverted edits. I hope to use this tool so I can revert Vandalism more efficiently. With Thanks, Ghent123 Communicate 06:57, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
I'll like to request for rollback rights. I have started patrolling recent changes since this year to remove any problematic edits. Having this tool can make the reverting process easier since it saves time consumption and therefore limits the chances of any accidental misclicks. Thanks. Galaxybeing (talk) 08:11, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
DoneGalaxybeing, I see good work--leaving warnings and all, that's good. I'd like to see edit summaries for the reverts themselves, even if they are pretty clearly vandalism--that's not necessarily a requirement, but it confirms to the rest of us that you know what you are doing. Simple "rvv", or "vandalism: flag of Albania" will do. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 21:39, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
Hey, am requesting the rollback rights mainly for reverting vandalism or unconstructive edits as i've read and understood that one can use the rollback but for reverting vandalism. Thanks, Would be glad if granted. – Raphael(B//C) 02:00, 5 March 2025 (UTC)

Not done -- for now. User:Raph Williams65, I see only 50 main space edits, and not a significant amount of vandal fighting etc. I see you doing all kinds of things, with templates and infoboxes and whatnot, but I cannot see that you know how to judge what vandalism is and what it isn't, and what things we do in article space, which is essential to knowing how to assess edits. Make a bunch more edits, gain experience, write, then come back. Drmies (talk) 21:29, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
I want to request rollback right for me to counter the acts of vandalisms in Wikipedia. I have more than 200 mainspace edits, I have reviewed pending changes for more than a month, I never consciously participated in any edit wars and I try my best to notify the authors of edits reverted by me whenever possible. TrueMoriarty (talk) 18:01, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
Not done. In this list of reverts I don't see any explanations for why you reverted, and I don't see in the first half dozen or so that you followed up with a note to the editor. As for edit warring--what you did in Chinese, judging from the history, counts as edit warring. You should have warned the vandal, and explained in an edit summary why you reverted. Moreover, it seems like you were sitting there waiting for them to revert so you could revert, which is precisely the wrong attitude, and I note also that you didn't report to AIV. As a result, we have nine of those racist edits in the history that I am going to clean up--had you reported, NOT reverted, after the first time (it was obvious vandalism and block evasion) that history would look a lot better. Drmies (talk) 17:37, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
I'm requesting the rights to fight Vandalism and use the Anti-vandal tool. I was declined last time as I had accidentally mistaken a level 4 warning to be 4im. I have also recieved a barnstar for the recent changes patrolling. XiphoidVigour||⚔|⚔|| 09:24, 6 March 2025 (UTC)

Hi there! I have been patrolling Special:PendingChanges for over a month, I have over 1700 edits. I've read through WP:Rollback and fully understood it. I have Never been involved in an edit war, instead I've helped resolve some in the past. I have a very good record of informing editors on their talk pages when I have reverted their edits or declined their pending changes. This permission would help me fight against vandalism by just making the job easier and quicker to carry out. Ultraodan (talk) 05:19, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
DoneUser:Ultraodan, keep writing those edit summaries and leaving those warnings. Happy rolling. Drmies (talk) 22:24, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
