For Margaret Sanger
Hi, it would be great if I could read the content of the above three articles. I looked in the free WP Library access, but that appears to only have "historical" NY Times articles. Thanks, Noleander (talk) 01:43, 24 January 2025 (UTC)

- Thanks for link to (1). I found (3) in the same location. I could still use help with (2).
- I'm surprised to see NY Times recent articles in the Wayback machine: i thought there was a huge legal decision about a year ago, that held that Wayback could not store copyrighted material. Maybe NY Times doesn't care so much about opinion pieces, so they are not challenging those? Noleander (talk) 05:46, 24 January 2025 (UTC)

Wildlife Australia magazine (vol. 54) & The Australian article from July 2022

- "Flight of fancy: row erupts over rare bird". The Australian. 2 July 2022.
- "Parrot in peril, experts at war". The Australian.
Primarily for John Young (naturalist), but I should also be able to use these in night parrot and buff-breasted buttonquail. Have been trying to track down a freely accessible copy of the first article online but had no luck, and it doesn't appear to be available through any of the providers at TWL. I apologise for the extremely bare references for the other articles - The Australian's paywall won't even allow me to see the name of the author, so I can only provide very limited details.

Long shot?: Thought currents in English literature article
[edit]This gives the 1962 date, although this English language bibliography (p 141) gives 1963. My library's metadata suggests 1962. The true title is not known; the English bibliography and WebOPAC give different ones.
Relevant WorldCat entries may include 21432288 and 1058811681.
I've sent in an ILL request to my library but I'm not sure whether they'll be able to fulfill this. Given what I know about Yasuko Mukoyama, the article will probably be useful in an article like My Ántonia or a similar novel article.

I'm looking for Record Report album review sections from two The Source issues from 1999. Unfortunately, the magazine isn't available online, but some libraries have it. Most of these pages were ads, so it's about 10-12 pages of actual text each. The June 1999 issue would help me improve The Art of Storytelling, Chopper City in the Ghetto, and Pimpin' on Wax, while the August issue would help with Out of Business, Exclusive Audio Footage, Soundpieces: Da Antidote, The Wonderful World of Cease A Leo, and The M-Pire Shrikez Back. Any help would be appreciated. AstonishingTunesAdmirer 連絡 12:57, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

I'm aware that this journal is available via the WL, however the online version at Wiley is lacking the final two pages (112 and 113). I can get 113 out of the next item but 112 appears to be not available online.

Two Czech botany articles by J. Chrtek and Z. Slavíková
[edit]- Chrtek, J.; Slavíková, Z. (1999). "Genera and families of the Droserales order". Novit. Bot. Univ. Carol. Praha 13: 39-46. Prague. ISSN 0862-5158.

Hi, I'm trying to find copies of the above two articles by the Czech botanists Chrtek and Slavíková, for a complete rewrite of Taxonomy of Drosera that I'm working on in userspace. These are quite widely cited but the actual papers seem to be pretty obscure and I haven't been able to find them anywhere online. The 1999 article is from Novitates botanicae Universitatis Carolinae which unfortunately has only a partial online archive, see [4]; according to WorldCat the Natural History Museum in London is the only library that holds it. The 1996 one is from this publication: [5], again unfortunately the online archive peters out about 2000 and WorldCat doesn't list any UK libraries holding anything earlier than 2007. Difficult request but if anyone can help I'd be really grateful! YFB ¿ 11:12, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Yummifruitbat: For #2, you may be seeing nothing for anything earlier than 2007 because the journal was renamed in 2007. The original name was Časopis Národního muzea. Řada přírodovědná OCLC 29042559.
Doing... #1 via ILL but if anyone can get it earlier, feel free.
Doing... #2, but I'm not entirely clear on whether my library has this issue. It says
roc.160(1991)-169(2000), v.170:n.1/4 (2001:Dec.) - v.175:n.3/4 (2006:Dec.)
, and I have no idea what the roc. abbreviation means, so I'll go later today and take a look. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 12:08, 15 December 2024 (UTC)- Amazing! Thank you. I think roc. is an abbreviation for something like "edition" as the numbers align with the volume nos - 165 is the one for 1996 in #2. YFB ¿ 16:50, 15 December 2024 (UTC)

The Genus Hosta
[edit]- Schmid, Wolfram George (1991). The Genus Hosta. Timber Press. p. 98-99?, circa 96?. ISBN 978-0-88192-201-1. Retrieved 9 February 2025.
Our articles about some of the most popular garden plants are rather skimpy. I have now set my eyes on Hosta sieboldii and Hosta sieboldiana. I find it really difficult to pinpoint the page range in this book. I hope I can get some help with that. Basically I need botanical descriptions of the two species at the very least, but anything else (distribution, ecology, habitat, cultivation notes) will be of great use too.

Ranks of the Diaconate
[edit]- Jarjour, Tala (2018). Sense and Sadness: Syriac Chant in Aleppo. Oxford University Press. ISBN 978-0-19-063527-5.
Hello, I and @Warriorglance have been looking for references for the ranks of deacons in the Syriac Orthodox Church. He believes the necessary information is in the book.
If anybody has any other sources please send them.
Thanks, CF-501 Falcon (talk · contribs) 15:40, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- Footnote on pages 84-85:
There are four ranks of deacons in the Syrian Orthodox Church (rather, four stages to reach the full title of a deacon): cantor or singer (mzamrono), lector (qoruyo), subdeacon (afudyaqno), evangelical deacon (mshamshono or shamosho). Each parish appoints one of the senior deacons as archdeacon (arkhedyaqno). Tahhan and Qamar hold the most senior rank of evangelical deacon (shamosho ewangelio), who normally has the authority of spiritual teaching. Tahhan was also archdeacon of the archdiocese. The archdeacon ranks immediately after the priest, but is also seen as “the right hand of the bishop” (Syrian Orthodox Resources: sor.cua.edu/intro). Only deacons with exceptional knowledge obtain this office.

Access to summary of a book about Magahi/Magadhi region of India
[edit]- Verma, Sheela (2008). Magahi Folklore and Folk Tales. Manohar. p. Summary/Index. ISBN 9788173048043.
For Magahi culture. I'm requesting the summary for now, to check if it's a good source for the article, since the book appears to be one of the few English language books about the region. Sheela Varma (Sila Varma) is cited in Glottolog as a reference to Magahi language.

- In this case, can I request the excerpts "Magahi language" (pp. 28-34), "Magahi Ballads, Folk Tales" (pp. 86-98) - to expand on Magahi language and Magahi culture -, and tales "A Carpenter and a Goldsmith" (pp. 127-130) and "Princess Belmanti" (pp. 138-141)? May 14/21 2020 Famitsu combined issue for A Space for the Unbound
[edit]- May 14/21 2020 Combined Issue Magazine. Issue 1639/1640 Famitsu.
(Possibly this magazine, though it only has the front cover.)
For A Space for the Unbound. Currently verifying a statement on its Release. There's a source that states this and refers to Famitsu, but it fails WP:RS since they're an unofficial news site:
A Space for the Unbound was announced to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch consoles in the combined edition of Weekly Famitsu magazine of 14–21 May 2020, with Chorus Worldwide to be the publisher of the video game in Japan. It was also announced that the video game will be released in late 2020.
