John McDermott (macroeconomist) moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to John McDermott (macroeconomist). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Guliolopez (talk) 00:32, 27 March 2025 (UTC)

[edit] Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Oberheim OB-8, you may be blocked from editing. Drmies (talk) 12:28, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
This is not the first time it's been pointed out to you how important sourcing is. In your latest slew of edits--no, a YouTube video is not useful. First of all videos are questionable evidence, and secondly, who cares? Lots of people played it, but not every instance of use by a notable person needs to be cited. As for Prince, this also, not acceptable, because user-submitted, and if you had taken the trouble to read it you'd have seen it wasn't a very important instrument for Prince or Fink. And that edit summary, "please go ahead and edit all of Prince's articles that use it as a valid reference", sorry, but that's total crap. It's not my job to clean up everything on Wikipedia, but if I have to remove irrelevant material you added based on crap sources, then I will.
I think you need to start thinking about reliability of sources, but also what it means for something to be properly sourced. I left Eddie van Halen, because a Google Books search CLEARLY shows that his use of the instrument was noteworthy: see this and this. Now, please stop edit warring over unencyclopedic content with poor sourcing. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 12:35, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
- I agree with Drmies that the listed users of a synthesizer should only be the ones who elicit commentary from WP:SECONDARY observers. They should not be supported by YouTube videos or liner notes. It takes uninvolved writers talking about the synthesizer to show that a particular musician is important to the instrument's history. Binksternet (talk) 14:30, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
- I understand, sorry if that edit all articles thing sounded mean. I didn't mean for the edit summary to sound harsh, something I wrote and wish took back immediately. I can do these changes as asked and make sure to check my sources better. Have a good day :) XlosVSM (talk) 05:47, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
Hey Mr if you look at all the Prince albums in allmusic you will find multiple sourced music genres for the Prince songs who’s pages are under construction DPF429 (talk) 18:31, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
