I've nominated several promising newer editors recently, but can we put our hands together for ForksForks (talk · contribs · count · logs)? This editor has yet to pass a thousand edits, but has already brought Island and River (both are level-three vital articles and Quarter Million Award–eligible) up to GA, which would be milestone achievements even for those of us with six-figure edit counts. They've made various copyedits and improvements to articles on a number of different subjects, and performed 11 GAN reviews to boot. I hope ForksForks will keep up the good work for many years to come, and I hope you'll join me in sharing your appreciation for them. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 05:40, 29 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I nominate fellow Scottish Wikipedian Stevie fae Scotland (talk · contribs · count · logs) to be Editor of the Week for his content creation work particularly in areas such as Scottish politics and sports. Since joining in 2010, he has created about 200 articles. In the Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The European Destubathon, he destubbed over 100 articles and in the recent Wikipedia:The World Destubathon, he managed to destub over 300 articles. He has also gotten many articles to good article status such as 2022 Aberdeenshire Council election, 2022 Argyll and Bute Council election, 2022 Comhairle nan Eilean Siar election, 2022 Glasgow City Council election and 2022 South Lanarkshire Council election. Stevie will no doubt continue to be an amazing contributor to this site in the future. Sahaib (talk) 18:47, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reverosie (talk · contribs · count · logs) is a polite, enthusiastic, and determined editor interested in astronomy and, especially, medieval history. Within two days of joining Wikipedia, she created these two excellent quality articles, Godehilde of Tosny and SNR 0519-69.0. Just a week later, she began reviewing GA's and has now conducted 14 GA reviews in medieval history and also successfully brought Baldwin IV of Jerusalem and Sibylla, Queen of Jerusalem to GA status, with a current active nomination for Guy of Lusignan (at the time of writing), which are all pretty huge articles. Though Reverosie is still relatively new here (she only gained her first 1,000+ edits in a month), a quick look at her responses to the four barnstars gifted to her is clear evidence of her politeness and enthusiasm. There's no doubt that Reverosie is a clear net positive to the community, and I'm sure that she'll continue to be one in the years to come. Tarlby (t) (c) 13:48, 1 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I've partnered up with @GoldRomean for this nomination. He wrote the blurb while I made a few adjustments :) Tarlby (t) (c) 13:50, 1 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I nominate Aliceinthealice (talk · contribs · count · logs) to be Editor of the Week for her work on Central Australian people, places and history, and Australian First Nations history, people and lands. She set herself a goal creating 75 new articles on these subjects in 2025, and is nearly there already. She is also active on and prominent in Wikimedia Australia, and is one of the most cheerful and helpful editors there is. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 22:32, 14 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You're telling me Sohom Datta (talk · contribs · count · logs) hasn't been Editor of the Week yet?! Sohom seemingly does it all. As a developer, he's worked on all kinds of handy things: the PageTriage extension here on the English Wikipedia, ProofreadPage — the software that makes Wikisource tick — and many other indispensable (ha!) tools. Since last year, he's been a member of the Product and Technology Advisory Council, which collaborates with the Wikimedia Foundation with the aim of improving software quality across the projects. Relatedly, I've been increasingly seeing him in heated discussions employing his technical expertise and voice of reason to turn dumpster fires into productive conversations. However, he's also a seasoned content writer; he's created several articles on technical subjects like Site isolation and Cookie stuffing, and it was my pleasure to collaborate with him on Cross-site leaks and Frutiger Aero. We need more editors like Sohom, and I hope you'll join me in expressing our appreciation of his work. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 04:10, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I nominate Tim O'Doherty (talk · contribs · count · logs) to be Editor of the Week for ... he might not be the most active editor, but when he does contribute, it counts. He brought Liz Truss and Well he would, wouldn't he? to Featured Article status—the latter from scratch—and has steadily been working on multiple articles (including Rishi Sunak) behind the scenes. He keeps the weekly news summaries going, not to mention his fantastic user page. Quiet, precise, and deeply committed to quality—Tim deserves this recognition. Since 2021, asilvering (talk · contribs · count · logs) has been a champion of the unseen on Wikipedia, whether by providing hundreds of thoughtful responses to newer editors at the Teahouse and their talk page, or helping expand the encyclopedia's coverage of things like the Federated Legion of Women with WikiProject Women in Red. They've put in a lot of work helping to keep the queue of literature-related drafts short at Articles for creation, with a staggering 1835 reviews to their name. Since becoming an administrator, they've been working on unblock requests—a taxing and largely thankless task—helping editors understand why they were blocked, and teaching the nuances of sourcing, copyright, and conduct. The fact that they're now training to be a clerk at sockpuppet investigations is a testament to their patience and tenacity. Wikipedia needs more editors like asilvering, and we hope you'll join us in presenting a small token of appreciation for their work. —HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 20:11, 26 July 2025 (UTC) and TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 20:30, 26 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
