The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Gyaca County, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. When an edit is reverted, it is a good practice to raise the issues on one of the talk pages you are editing and arrive at WP:CONSENSUS before proceeding. See WP:BRD.

I don't have too much of a problem with the citations you are adding. But you are repeatedly removing the long-standing maps on the pages. You cannot do so without achieving CONSENSUS.

While adding foreign language citations is ok, you also need to provide title, script-title and trans-title fields, and other such fields if necessary. Please be sure to provide at least pinyin transliterations of the fields. See template:citation.

It is also odd that you add new citations to existing content, without any comment on whether the sources say exactly what has been claimed on the page. If it is not the same, you are introducing problems of WP:text-source integrity, which is a serious problem.

I suggest that you go slow and work on one page at a time so that we have time to examinen what you have done.

You seem to be an experienced editor. But your work here is reminiscent of newbie users who treat Wikipedia as their private website.

Hello Kautilya, please be prepared for the potential edit conflicts that may ensue when you unreasonably and rudely roll back someone's multiple edits in an entry. I do not anticipate that this will occur, as I have incorporated sources into the premise on numerous occasions in these entries (and you are not particularly interested in adding sources to them). I have already addressed the issue with sources and do not wish to squander time. If you believe that there are insufficient sources, you may add them and provide an explanation, rather than deleting someone else's sources, which is neither a solution nor an efficient method of communication.

Second, the issue with the map is indicative of the issue between China and India, where there are at least 2-3 territories that are disputed (you are Indian; this should be the underlying cause of your repeated reverts). Additionally, China and India have different occupations of the currently disputed territories. I utilized OpenStreetMap's topographic map as a foundation map, as it accurately depicts the current situation (and the map I displayed depicts the ongoing territorial disputes). However, you selected images that were biased toward one side and "pretended" that the territory had been reclaimed. It is even more absurd to strive for verbal success on Wikipedia when the military is unable to resolve territorial disputes (and yes, I agree that it is a waste of time and absurd to engage in an argument with you about it).

Therefore, I am continuing to return my contribution, as it contains a significant amount of updated content, updated images, the most recent 2020 population data, the last 500-600 years of history, and the removal of any inappropriate sources or information. Please expunge it individually if you believe there is an error, rather than reverting to the previous version. We should not expend our energy on maps of towns with populations of a few thousand, as China and India are countries with a combined population of 1.4 billion.

All edits are subject to WP:CONSENSUS. Reverting an edit is not "rude". The reason for those reverts were clearly stated in my edit summaries. When an edit is reverted, you are expected to discuss the issues and come to a consensus before redoing your edits. You cannot treat Wikipedia as private property that you can edit as you please.

Your edits did not carry edit summaries to begin with. Neither were they separated into contentious edits (where you are basing them on your own opinions, e.g., the maps) and other less problematic ones. So I had no option but to revert them wholesale.

You are also not allowed to assume motives for people's editing conduct and cast WP:Aspersions. That is regarded as personal attack. Please refrain from doing so again in future.

For your information, I have nothing to do with those maps that you are removing. They have been in existence for a long time, and somebody spent a lot of time creatin tthem. Such long-standing content cannot be removed without good reason. If you continue to repeatedly remove long-standing content, you are liable to be blocked. Categories

Hello, TinaLees-Jones,

Please don't create an entire category tree (years, decades, centuries, periods, history, etc. etc.) based on 1 article or 1 redirect. If that one article is deleted or recategorized, it could mean that there are a half dozen or even a dozen categories that then are empty and also need to be tagged for speedy deletion. That's what is happening now and I'm going to stop posting CSD C1 notifications on your User talk page so it doesn't get overwhelmed by Twinkle. But if you look at the CSD C1 notices from yesterday, you'll get the idea of what other categories might be affected. Liz ^{Read! Talk!} 18:59, 10 April 2025 (UTC)

Also, please do not categorize a company or building only by the year and the city it was founded in. If you want to categorize these entities in this way, they should be in "establishments" or "distablishments" categories and not simply an annual category that doesn't explain the significance of the year. And rather than creating one annual category when no other ones exist, categorize these businesses by decade or a larger category rather than having one solitary annual category. Thank you. Thank you, Liz! I genuinely hope these NOTICES persist in popping up. I recognized last year that the issues you highlighted, would lead to the removal and deletion of entire categories. I believe that if over 1000 articles could be produced between 1 and 5 years, certain categories, particularly those that have been deleted, may significantly benefit from such articles. I have consistently believed that the essential resolution to this issue is to compose more. Based on the foundation established by these articles, we could prevent the recurrence of these issues when these categories are reestablished. Much appreciated.
