Information icon Hello, ReddyAU. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page User:ReddyAU/sandbox, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ~ Rusty meow ~ 15:28, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Your account has been blocked from editing because your username gives the impression that the account represents a group, team, club, organization, company, product, department, or website. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here. You may also read our FAQ for article subjects.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change to this account.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Important items to note:

  • The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
    • You are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually. Examples include: "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
  • The new username you choose cannot already be taken and used by another account. You can search here to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns, "There is no global account for [username]", that means it is available.

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, department, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page): {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you. PhilKnight (talk) 15:54, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Still blocked

[edit]

Hello, I have delcared COI and changed by username. Is there a reason I am still blocked? Can you please advise how I can appeal? Many thanks. Sinead RAU (talk) 08:29, 10 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Sinead RAU: You will not be unblocked automatically, submit another request. Once you are unblocked, you should declare the COI on your userpage or the talk page of the article, not here. ~ Rusty meow ~ 20:22, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

Despite numerous requests, you still have not followed the mandatory disclosure procedure outlined in WP:COI. As you are continuing to violate our policies around conflict of interest and, likely, WP:PAID editing, I have blocked you indefinitely. WP:GAB explains how to contest your block. You must properly disclose your conflict of interest here before making an unblock request. At this point, given that you appear to be here solely to promote Reddy Architecture + Urbanism, I oppose any unblock without a topic ban on Reddy Architecture + Urbanism, but that'll be up to the reviewing admin, who is free to make their own determination without consulting me, provided you have disclosed your conflict of interest. --Yamla (talk) 12:23, 18 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Yamla, apologies, I misunderstood where the COI was to be placed. It was on the top of the draft article and I have added to the source of this page now also. I was not trying to avoid disclosing this information and I am aiming to write a factually neutral article. I am new to Wikipedia and still learning the processes and how to navigate the interface and appreciate the feedback. Can I please ask what you mean you say that you "oppose any unblock without a topic ban"? Thanks Sinead RAU (talk) 08:13, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I can find no evidence that you declared your conflict of interest, until after I placed this block. I see another editor noted you had not declared your conflict and that the draft required cleanup. At this point, I think it would be breathtakingly inappropriate to lift your block without a guarantee from you that you'll refrain from writing about Reddy Architecture and Urbanism and anything else for which you have a conflict of interest. --Yamla (talk) 12:27, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Yamla, under the guidelines my understanding was that if you disclose a conflict of interest (e.g. employee) which I have done once I knew this was required (albeit in the wrong sectiom initially) that you could write on the topic. I am not trying to promote Reddy Architecture, just contribute an article. I added that note at the top of the draft you linked me to. I thought this was where the COI should be placed. Im really just looking for guidance on this in good faith. Thank you Sinead RAU (talk) 16:57, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Your attempt to mislead us by falsely claiming you disclosed your conflict of interest at Draft:Reddy Architecture + Urbanism will count against any unblock request. Regardless, I've already said I oppose any unblock without a topic ban. I have nothing more to say on the matter. --Yamla (talk) 16:59, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I did not falsely claim anything. Again, I am new to the platform. Is there no leeway given for that? I did add the COI to my draft! Sinead RAU (talk) 14:30, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

(Non-administrator comment) @Sinead RAU: You are not supposed to add the COI notice to this page. Could you add one to your user page: User:Sinead RAU ~ Rusty meow ~ 14:54, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
EDIT: But since you are blocked, I guess you will have to add it to this page for now. ~ Rusty meow ~ 14:55, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Rusty, thanks - I thought I had added it to the page when it was flagged but then I was blocked. When I added the template to the draft article source, this note appeared: " major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject." which I assumed I had generated. I am not able to make any more edits atm. Is there anyway I can appeal this? Sinead RAU (talk) 14:59, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You've indicated you are an employee, this means you must make the stricter paid editing disclosure, a Terms of Use requirement. I'm also not sure that you understand what your approach should be here. You are telling us what you and your company want to say about it, and listing your company works as if this were a presentation. Instead, you should be summarizing what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about your company and what makes it a notable company. You list a lot of awards, but awards only contribute to notability if the award itself merits an article. 331dot (talk) 15:18, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Rusty, can you pleae review my block? I have worked on an edited version of the article taking feedback on board. I have placed the correct COI on this page - I cannot edit anywhere else currently. Thank you. Sinead RAU (talk) 09:58, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sinead RAU (talk) 08:33, 14 May 2025 (UTC) Can someone please review my unblock request? Thanks[reply]

Hi, could I please ask you to review the block on my account? I have placed a new request on this page but it has not been reviewed yet. I have taken all feedback on board and would like to submit an improved article. I've also changed the COI template on this page. Many thanks. Sinead RAU (talk) 08:30, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Sinead RAU: You have two open unblock requests on this page when only one is required. Additional requests will not speed up the process or affect the outcome.
Your unblock is just one of many in the queue of unblock requests. There is no set order to which these requests are reviewed, and no guarantee of time to when they are reviewed. Administrators are volunteers, like all other Wikipedia users. Your request may be in the queue for several days or several weeks; however long it takes, you have no control over that. There is nothing more for you to do except to patiently wait your turn.
One last thing. New talk page postings should be placed at the bottom of this page, so that they appear in the correct chronological order. Many comments have been placed out of order here, making the discussion difficult to follow. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 20:24, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for coming back. My previous unblock requests were dealt promptly which is why I was concerned. I was told the first block request above was not correct so I reposted, apologies for this. Noted on where to add a new comment - I was unable to edit the bottom of the page (error message) so replied where I could on my page. Sinead RAU (talk) 14:10, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, is there any where I could post the revised article for review to help assist with unblocking. This is the only place on Wiki I can currently interact. I would really appreciate some help. Thanks Sinead RAU (talk) 16:28, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That's the whole purpose of blocking. Until an administrator has reviewed the unblock request (which might take some time) you will only be able to edit your talk page. The purpose of blocking is that you cannot edit any other pages. ~ Rusty meow ~ 22:44, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Asilvering: and @Tamzin: And what about this one? He made the noobie mistake of opening two unblock requests, but he seems willing to cooperate with the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use and seems a good faith editor in general. Kind regards. Luis7M (talk) 20:01, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oof. Well, @Sinead RAU, I see you've now made a proper paid disclosure, so we can let you have another try, but I'm not sure you're going to be successful at getting this draft through. Please keep in mind that once you release this to Wikipedia, anyone can edit it - but also, it's quite possible no one ever will, and it will just get more and more embarrassingly out of date. In my opinion, it's much better to have a nice corporate website be the top Google hit for your company name, but I won't stop you from trying. -- asilvering (talk) 20:29, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Asilvering Thank you for lettng me try! Hopefully the new version of the article will be more successful. Sinead RAU (talk) 08:58, 9 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm glad I could help. Welcome back. Luis7M (talk) 00:29, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
