Non-confused chinese

[edit]

The template currently contains an explanatory element with the text "This disambiguation page lists articles associated with the same title when written in Chinese characters.". I am not sure this is the correct thing for it to say. For example, I'm coming from the page . This is a chinese title, and a disambiguation page, but there is no aspect of "the same title when written in Chinese characters"; they're all about things known by 井, in the same sense (except the proper names, arguably). The verbiage is technically correct, but unhelpful.

So, perhaps that language should be changed. Or perhaps this template really is supposed to be for disambiguation pages iff they are caused by conflation in Chinese characters, in which case I suggest the template documentation should mention that.

(incidentally, the same thing seems to be true of Template:Hangul title disambiguation, so perhaps that should be changed as well)

This template also places pages in the category "Category:Disambiguation pages with Chinese character titles", which seems right to me. This is also the category that Template:Disambiguation puts a page into when you give it the parameter chinese. I have preliminarily changed the page to use that template instead.
