GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, spelling, and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable, as shown by a source spot-check.
a (reference section): b (inline citations to reliable sources): c (OR): d (copyvio and plagiarism):
9.9% on copyvio, so plagiarism very unlikely. See ref spot-check below for details
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have non-free use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
Images are all appropriate and have alt-text. Some images are left-aligned, which isn't recommended by MOS:IMAGELOC, but this is minor and not part of good article criteria.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

History

[edit]

Section is well structured with good historic background. Love the note to explain record format without cluttering the main text. Some minor prose notes:

  • From 2012 on as the NHL's interest in Seattle as a market rose, the city was positioned as a locale for expansion or a relocating team pending a viable arena. - a bit overly complex, could be more straightforward like "Beginning in 2012, as the NHL showed increased interest in Seattle, the city was considered a potential site for expansion or relocation, contingent on a suitable arena."
  • On July 28, 2021, the Kraken started their inaugural free agency strongly - unless "strongly" comes directly from a source, seems overly editorial, could just be "On July 28, 2021, the Kraken started their inaugural free agency, signing forwards..."
  • The Kraken's second season was far superior to their first in terms of winning - strange phrasing, maybe "In their second season, the Kraken improved from 27 to 46 wins" or even just "The Kraken improved significantly in their second season"

Arena

[edit]

Well structured, good use of links and clear explanation for each element.

Team identity

[edit]

No real notes, I like the phrasing of "He is said to be" for Buoy's backstory

  • On October 20, 2022, The Kraken -> "On October 20, 2022, the Kraken"

Minor league affiliates

[edit]

I added an opening paragraph to this section, explaining the basics of the minor league hierarchy, I thought it could be useful for a reader familiar with the NHL but not with minor leagues or development systems.

Season-by-season record, Players and personnel, etc.

[edit]

Looks detailed and well-formatted, and matches with my spot checks for records and current roster.

Final comments

[edit]

@XR228: Thank you for your patience on this review, I know I had a long gap between starting and finishing, but I enjoyed going through this article in detail; I find it to be well written and constructed. I have some minor formatting/prose comments above so I will put this review on hold. Feel free to answer at your own pace.Verylongandmemorable (talk) 21:36, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
