Samantha Holloway
[edit]Looks like Samantha Holloway is missing from the owner list, I think she is also co-chair. Moedk (talk) 10:36, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Moedk Do you have a source we can verify that with? —C.Fred (talk) 11:29, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- I googled “samantha holloway seattle kraken” and found quite a few reliable sources backing up this statement. If Moedk edits the page with this info and a source cited, that would be a good thing for the article. White 720 (talk) 13:11, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- Well, I just wondered who the woman, named Sam, that together with Tod Leiweke, presented the extension of Ron Francis, and google it. I don't know if she is majority or minoritet owner, but added her to minority, one article I saw mentioned she is equal owner, but I couldn't tell if that was equal to her father David Bonderman or just the other minority owners. And I can't make out if she is Chair or Co-Chair, articles differ. Moedk (talk) 20:27, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
100 Wins
[edit]The team has just won their 100th game (https://www.nhl.com/kraken/news/seattle-kraken-100th-franchise-win); where would this be most relevant? Thanks! .pxrtypoisxn. (talk) 02:42, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- Nowhere, really. Any non-ephemeral professional franchise gets there sooner or later, and it's not particularly noteworthy beyond a single sentence in the game writeup in the newspapers. Ravenswing 05:18, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
Assistant coaches
[edit]Nothing about assistant coach Jessica Campbell? Seems like an oversight given the historic nature of the selection as first female NHL coach. Johnhwynne (talk) 13:56, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- Feel free to add it! Ravenswing 16:32, 6 November 2024 (UTC)

History
[edit]Section is well structured with good historic background. Love the note to explain record format without cluttering the main text. Some minor prose notes:
- From 2012 on as the NHL's interest in Seattle as a market rose, the city was positioned as a locale for expansion or a relocating team pending a viable arena. - a bit overly complex, could be more straightforward like "Beginning in 2012, as the NHL showed increased interest in Seattle, the city was considered a potential site for expansion or relocation, contingent on a suitable arena."
- On July 28, 2021, the Kraken started their inaugural free agency strongly - unless "strongly" comes directly from a source, seems overly editorial, could just be "On July 28, 2021, the Kraken started their inaugural free agency, signing forwards..."
- The Kraken's second season was far superior to their first in terms of winning - strange phrasing, maybe "In their second season, the Kraken improved from 27 to 46 wins" or even just "The Kraken improved significantly in their second season"
Arena
[edit]Well structured, good use of links and clear explanation for each element.
Team identity
[edit]No real notes, I like the phrasing of "He is said to be" for Buoy's backstory
- On October 20, 2022, The Kraken -> "On October 20, 2022, the Kraken"
Minor league affiliates
[edit]I added an opening paragraph to this section, explaining the basics of the minor league hierarchy, I thought it could be useful for a reader familiar with the NHL but not with minor leagues or development systems.
Season-by-season record, Players and personnel, etc.
[edit]Looks detailed and well-formatted, and matches with my spot checks for records and current roster.
