Article is in need of a rewrite...
[edit]The article is rather scattershot with bits and pieces tossed in but lacks a clear overall theme and flow. For instance the introduction only talks about plants, however the bulk of the article also includes animals. It delves into wheat quite a bit -- but why wheat? There are hundreds of important introduced species, we can't hope to have such a nice paragraph on each species. Perhaps the structure of the article could be:
- Introduction to clarify exactly what is meant by biological globalism, and why it's important
- History of major exchanges. The article already has a good link to the Columbian Exchange, but what others have occurred over time?
- Section on impacts -- good & bad -- of biological globalism
- Future -- what do experts think this will lead to? I know there are are some experts who argue this is destiny, stop fighting it, while many others want to preserve local biodiversity.
Or something like that.
