In 2001, he graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Math degree, majoring in Computer Science with an option in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is most well known for his website GovernmentExpenses.caInformation needs to be free, which was referenced by the political magazine MacleansHigh-flying civil servants, by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation and The TyeeHarper's Closed Windows. It also received full page articles in The Hill TimesA new website compiles ministers' and top bureaucrats' travel and hospitality disclosures, neatly and Macleans., as well as an election claim analysis of Stephen Harper on Macleans.
