The result in Littletons was a tie between Hannah Robson and Liz Williams. Electoral law in the United Kingdom requires the Returning Officer to select a method of their choosing for returning a councillor in the event of a tie. In this case, one of the two candidates' names was drawn at random from a box, and Robson was returned. The official declaration shows the winning candidate having one extra vote in the event of a tie.[24]
