Tagged for notability by Bonadea in September 2024. By winning a Meril-Prothom Alo Award, meets WP:MUSICBIO criterion #8, so may be notable. But there is a shortage of independent, reliable sources containing significant coverage. There's a trio of pieces from Prothom Alo, but multiple pieces in the same periodical are normally counted as one source per WP:GNG. There are two short paragraphs in banglanews24.com.[1] And there is some very thin coverage in Anandabazar Patrika.[2]

Searches of the usual Google types in English and Bengali found nothing better. I'm inclined towards WP:TOOSOON because there aren't really multiple independent sources containing genuinely significant coverage, but am open to persuasion. The notability tag should not become a permanent badge of shame, so input one way or the other from the community is welcome. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:19, 26 July 2025 (UTC)

Promotionally-toned article that relies heavily on primary and non-independent sourcing. I don’t see a WP:NPROF pass - subject is on a few highly cited papers, but only as a 5th or 6th co-author, and listed awards do not appear particularly prestigious. As for WP:GNG- she is quoted and/or mentioned in things like this and this, but I was not able to turn up any significant coverage of her specifically in secondary, independent sources (not interviews). Searched g-news, g-books, newspapers.com, PressReader, and some Finnish newspapers. Zzz plant (talk) 04:52, 2 August 2025 (UTC)

Fails WP:GNG. I have been unable to find anything that establishes that this political slogan is independently notable. A search in Hebrew yields no results, and the Arabic yields two results that do not suggest it is notable. There are more results for 'bring them home', but that is not a phrase solely attributed to Netanyahu or the Israeli position. As for a policy position, it is simply too vague a title. Other than the fact the slogan lacks independent notability, the actual content of the article deviates into other issues that are already covered by numerous other articles at Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip, Gaza war hostage crisis, and Gaza war protests. This is a contentious topic, and I considered it inappropriate to PROD. Local Variable (talk) 03:46, 2 August 2025 (UTC)

- Delete does not meet WP:GNG nor WP:NOLYMPICS. In case others disagree, I did some additional searching and added another source for his Olympic record but I still did not see sigcov. Czarking0 (talk) 05:53, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
- Redirect to Kuwait at the 1984 Summer Olympics#Judo. A hatnote can be added to point to Mr. Al-Najadah’s participation in the 1988 games. Also okay with a redirect to 1988 and hatnote pointing to 1984. Having multiple suitible redirect targets is not a valid reason to choose neither and delete anyway, which also deletes the history. The subject currently fails GNG due to a lack of SIGCOV. Frank Anchor 13:05, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
- Delete – Per lack of a clear redirect target. Svartner (talk) 23:53, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
- A clear redirect target was identified above. The addition of a hat note removes any concerns of redirecting to a single Olympics for athletes who compete in multiple games. Frank Anchor 16:19, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- Redirect Does not merit an individual article, but is a valid search target and is already mentioned in several spots. The thinking that someone who has competed in one Olympics should be redirected, but someone who has competed in two Olympics should be deleted, seems illogical to me (the more Olympics you compete in the less notable you are?). Papaursa (talk) 02:57, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- He is given many brief articles in the Kuwaiti news of his day; see over 50 matches for his name. Most of these are paragraph long stories about his victories at various competitions, such as 1 (front-page coverage) 2 3 4 5 6. One could certainly write a quality article here. Yet another group of lake shore houses about which I could find nothing. It's not on the 1914 plat map, and tantalizingly there is what appears to be the deed transfer recorded in 1946; I could not, however, see enough to see what was going on or even be sure that it was this place being talked about. It's unlike the others in that instead of a row of cottages there is a street grid, and I could even drive by it on Streetview; but I get no sense that it isn't just a residential area. - Comment – Well, it looks like they exist as a real tribe or subtribe [3], but most uses of the word Uruzgani seem to more broadly refer to people from the Uruzgan region, even if that is also what the subtribe is called. – Ike Lek (talk) 07:26, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
- You can add more sources? Sybercracker (talk) 20:33, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
- I can try, but it is proving difficult. It clearly isn't a WP:HOAX, so ideally we find a way to save the page if we can. The only language I speak fluently is English, which is limiting, and the word Uruzgani is also sometimes used to refer to anyone from Uruzgan. Not all Hazara groups in Uruzgan are Uruzgani Hazara, so it really complicates searching. Hopefully we can save the page, but if more sources can't be found, then we might have to delete the page even though it contains good information, because it isn't backed up by more than one RS. WP:TWL appears to have more. "One of the original Hazara tribes, now a sub-tribe of the Uruzgani, is the Dai Chopa". "One of this writer's informants gave Qarluq as the name of a sub-tribe of the Uruzgan". [1] Other source with the same author "He presents no evidence to support a former use of the black tentamong these Hazaras. According to the reviewer's information both Uruzgani and Jaghuri spent their summers in round, felt-covered tents in the late 19th century. "[2]

Another group of lake shore cottages, and in this case there is at least one other place of the same name, which Google's AI summary flat out lies and says is the same as this place, even though a comparison on the maps shows they are nowhere near each other. I guess LLMs can't read maps. Anyway, there may be a third in South Bend, but what there isn't is any info on this place. Yet another block of lake shore cottages about which I can find nothing. In this case there is an inset in the 1914 plat map, which shows the typical pattern of tiny lots and nothing else. A comic book companion in the Doctor Who comic strips. A search for sources yields only two hits: [4] this, which only yields small bits of coverage, and this [5] which largely is plot summary with minor comments. Any other source mentioning her is a chiefly trivial mention in plot summary. This character just doesn't really have much WP:SIGCOV to back up a whole article. I'd suggest a redirect to List of Doctor Who spin-off companions as a viable AtD, since she is mentioned in that article already and her current article is entirely plot summary. Non-notable former travel writer and current dive bar reviewer. Subject does not appear to pass notability, as subject does not fulfill WP:ANYBIO. Individual is verifiable in tertiary sources as a local figure, but for a WP:BLP individual does not appear notable. I have cleaned up the article, removed extensive sources attributable to subject's personal website and added reliable sources, toned down claims and promotional language. After this I've come to the conclusion that they are just not notable. Longstanding maintenece tags. Nayyn (talk) 01:28, 26 July 2025 (UTC)

- Keep per the significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources. The subject passes Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Basic criteria, which says:
People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject.
- If the depth of coverage in any given source is not substantial, then multiple independent sources may be combined to demonstrate notability; trivial coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not usually sufficient to establish notability.

In the mid-aughts, he was just a guy who moved to S.F. after graduating from UC Santa Cruz’s American studies department. That degree scored him a sweet job working the counter at a candy shop, one of many odd jobs ranging from hat store clerk to librarian. When a customer gave him a business card that listed travel writer as their profession, Schuffman was inspired to start writing himself. The result was “Broke-Ass Stuart’s Guide to Living Cheaply in San Francisco,” a 33-page zine which he distributed via “bus pass and shoes.” The zine made it into 30 retail shops, then evolved into an arts and culture blog in 2008, then a six-city travel show on IFC that aired in 2011, a stint writing for Lonely Planet, a long-running S.F. Examiner column that he recently shifted over to SF Weekly."

The article notes: "Love Notes and Other Disasters Nonfiction/poetry zine, Broke-Ass Stuart, brokeasssstuart.com, $5. Broke-Ass Stuart begins this compendium of work with a stage-setting introduction: ... The zine is an ode to San Francisco in the same way Gatsby is an ode to New York, only Fitzgerald wasn't so concerned with making his reader think he was cool and writerly. Stuart is often clever, notably in "Living in San Francisco Means," and makes memorable commentary in "Rent Control in San Francisco is a Golden Handcuff," but mingles his insights with cringe-worthy self-affirmations"

The article notes: " Stuart Schuffman is living on a shoestring in San Francisco - and you can too. He's happy to share the wealth of knowledge he's acquired on how to live frugally and yet still enjoy the Bay Area's thriving arts and entertainment scene. Just go to brokeassstuart.com. The 34-year-old initially launched his website to sell his creative magazines (or "zines") and T-shirts when he arrived in San Francisco in 2002. Since then, he's expanded his site to become an arts and culture destination, especially for millennials. ... Schuffman grew up in San Diego in "a kind of Jewish neighborhood," attended a Reform synagogue and had his bar mitzvah at the typical age of 13. ... He has published three travel books, had his own travel show ("Young, Broke and Beautiful") on IFC, and has written "for every rag in town." Schuffman claims more than 17,000 followers on Facebook and nearly 16,000 followers on Twitter."

The article notes: "Where Rhett and Link look upon their subjects with genuine affection and thinly veiled amusement, Stuart Schuffman views his with awe. His show “Young, Broke & Beautiful,” which follows “Commercial Kings,” is a travel show that skips the center for the fringes, taking him to the sorts of places that would give those Frommer’s guys the willies. (Mr. Schuffman has written a few frugal city guides of his own.) Every city has its oddball denizens, its dirty, screaming bands, its delicious greasy spoons known to only a select few. Mr. Schuffman addresses his cities through that lens. In the premiere he tackles San Diego, where he grew up, visiting a childhood friend who’s now a D.J., wiping out at a skate park and checking out the revolution-theme murals at Chicano Park."

Schuffman, 34, is the best known of what must be considered, at best, a protest slate. His slogan on campaign posters that have popped up all over town: “Go for Broke.”Schuffman, whose previous elective experience was vice president of University City High School in San Diego, is a Democratic socialist who wants more affordable housing, more public toilets, higher taxes on developers, fewer tax breaks for tech companies and more civic engagement by the people benefiting economically from the tech boom."

A tireless self-promoter, Schuffman simply can’t stop repeating his unprintable catchphrase describing his mode of travel, and with predictable stops at tiki bars and steampunk gatherings, his tastes aren’t as edgy as he thinks."

The list appears to be a collection of WP:FANCRUFT which lacks WP:SIGCOV and fails to meet WP:LISTN. In other words, it lacks sources which explain why it is encyclopedic to have every national team bundled into one list. Further, I could find no discussion or consensus to combine each national team into such a list. If these statistics were properly sourced, they would be best split up and merged into their respective national team article, since they fail NLIST as a whole. Not sure what's going on with Baker and the WPA, and county histories, while they may not mention Abraham, do mention some prominent Birchims who indeed held land in this area. And there is no sign of a village or indeed of any building at all, nor do the histories speak of one; but a look at any map shows that this was and still is a rail point, the east end of a passing siding on the Chicago South Shore and South Bend Railroad, which amazingly after a hundred years is still in business both as a Class III freight hauler and (at the Chicago end) as a commuter rail operation. But you can't catch a train at Birchim any more, as passenger service there was abandoned back in the 1940s. I have to say the resort statement that Baker got from the WPA is plainly not true of the rail spot; there is a lake to the northeast which has development around it, but a resort at the rail spot makes no sense. The scope of this list is vague and does not appear to meet WP:NLIST as a standalone list. It has been tagged as possibly including WP:OR since 2016, questions asked about its scope of dual nationality,[6] have not been resolved in five years. The classificaion of origins in a foreign country is not defined, and does not assert Multiple citizenship which would be a better defined scope. Entire sections of the list are unsourced, and those which are sourced (such as baseball, basketball, and ice hockey) might be best split off into their own lists if their scope can be defined, and if those pass NLIST. - Delete. There are some contexts where it would make sense to refer to athletes as having dual nationality since they have competed for more than one country (see List of eligibility transfers in athletics and List of association football players capped by two senior national teams). But this article seems to rely heavily on original research, symbolized by the inclusion of Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the auto racing section, listed as dual nationals of the United States and Germany, apparently based on their ethnic ancestry than on any actual athletic nationality or citizenship. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 03:08, 2 August 2025 (UTC)
