About the Sera sky burial site.

[edit]

The vultures being semi tame was my own observation from February 1985. Cadaver was first cut and bones crushed with mallets (depressions in the rock...). The person doing the cutting then held the liver high in the air and called to birds in. As I have not published this anywhere (have pictures also) I can not make a citation... I have seen sky burials also at Larung Gar and Yarchen Gar, but they were not nearly as elaborate and the birds well behaved.

Hello, Petrus, and welcome to Wikipedia! It's great that you want to share what you have learned with others, but unfortunately, Wikipedia requires that facts be verifiable with a citation to a reliable source, and we can't accept personal experiences or original research as sources. If you can find an existing source somewhere saying that the vultures are semi-tame, then please do add it, but if not, we unfortunately can't accept an unsourced claim. Thank you for your contributions, and happy editing! Luke10.27 (talk) 19:25, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
