Information icon Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, wikis, personal websites, and websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight. These sources may express views that are widely acknowledged as pushing a particular point-of-view, sometimes even extremist, being promotional in nature, or relying heavily on rumors and personal opinions. One of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. If you require further assistance, please look at Help:Menu/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 21:50, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Kindly stop loading up the article with unreliable sources. MrOllie (talk) 22:33, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please clarify which source(s) or site(s) are being deemed unreliable? I can then remove or place them, thank you. WearableTechGuy (talk) 22:41, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
From what I can tell, it seems like the references being flagged are the ones from https://exoskeletonreport.com/
I realize this is a blog site, but it is also an industry newsletter and within the exoskeleton industry this is widely considered to be the most reputable source for information and education on exoskeletons.
The site is managed by a contributing writer for Forbes: https://www.forbes.com/sites/borislavmarinov/
Could a Wikipedia editor please advise on whether it is acceptable to include references to ExoskeletonReport?
Thanks for your help and clarification on this. WearableTechGuy (talk) 23:00, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Forbes is a blog host at this point, anyone can be a 'forbes contributor', seeWP:FORBESCON. Do not use self published sites such as exoskeletonreport.com as sources - or self published vendor sites or other marketing materials. See WP:RS for what makes for a reliable source. MrOllie (talk) 23:33, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Understood. Thanks for the clarification. WearableTechGuy (talk) 23:35, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please note also that per WP:V, adding back the content with no citations at all is also not a good thing. Please remove everything you have added without citing a source that meets Wikipedia's guidelines. MrOllie (talk) 23:38, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the helpful feedback. I will review the added text to make sure all factual statements have at least 1 scientific/peer-reviewed reference and meet Wikipedia guidelines.
The ExoskeletonReport references were originally only added because this site contains a catalog with a wide variety of exoskeleton devices, so it provided a good reference of example devices (for people unfamiliar with exoskeletons). Those references to ExoskeletonReport were not being use to support the scientific or factual statements, and in retrospect were unecesaary. WearableTechGuy (talk) 01:46, 8 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Update: Additional scientific references were added throughout the article, so I believe all the added content meets Wikipedia's guidelines. Thanks for your help and feedback.
  2. Question: This Wikipedia entry summarizes both powered and passive exoskeletons for humans. However, the title of the article is "powered exoskeletons," which is now out of date and not reflective of the contents of the article or the current state of exoskeleton technology. How does one go about changing, or recommending changes to, an article title on Wikipedia? It is recommended to revise the article title to "exoskeleton (human)" to more accurately represent the contents of this entry.

Please disregard, I found how to rename the page. Thanks again for the support and feedback throughout. WearableTechGuy (talk) 17:04, 8 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You should not move an established article without discussion (and consensus) on the article's associated talk page. I also see a number of continued sourcing issues, but due to the large volume of new text it will take some time to go through everything. If you have any further questions about Wikipedia or how it works, you can direct them to WP:TEAHOUSE, it is unlikely anyone will see them on your user talk page. MrOllie (talk) 17:08, 8 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that. Still pretty new to this. I saw the page about how to move a page, but did not see the process or recommendation to post to Talk first. If you see additional areas in need of references, is there a way to let me know so I can add more citations, rather than bulk deletions? Appreciate your help. A substantial amount of revisions and updated were needed, and I have been trying to be diligent in adding references throughout. Thanks. WearableTechGuy (talk) 17:12, 8 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
