Hi there!
I see you are a new user, so I want to tell you two points.
- I saw your DYK hook for Chicago River. Unfortunately, the hook is ineligible because, if you read the guidelines, the article in question is not new, a recently promoted good article, nor otherwise expanded five fold (the expansion to a section doesn't count towards the criterion). However, there are many articles out there that need improvement; you can expand them and potentially nominate them for good article status, and if it meets the other DYK criteria, you can nominate an interesting hook for DYK.
- I also saw a failed request for rollback rights. Don't worry! Just continue patrolling recent changes for a month, and you will be a better candidate. Or, you can enroll the counter vandalism unit academy so that you can understand what vandalism is and what vandalism isn't, and to properly revert edits, among other benefits.
Hopefully, you will have understood what I said and improved yourself with this. If you have any questions, you can always ask me or any other editor. Happy editing! ToadetteEdit (talk) 19:48, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- Alright thank you for both! Valorrr (talk) 19:49, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
Copyright redaction
When reverting copyright violations, please make sure to request copyright revdels using the {{copyvio-revdel}} template. Also, only remove the copyright violation itself, there's no need to pseudo-rollback their edits here as a copyright violation if they're not. — Tenshi! (Talk page) 23:17, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- Ah, didn't know, and I would have had to restore a bit back. Valorrr (talk) 23:20, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- I've already put the template on the article for you, but I might list it at copyright problems, once I can verify that it isn't a backwards copy. — Tenshi! (Talk page) 23:28, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- Yea, it basically copied, just removed the line breaks on the article, word for word. Valorrr (talk) 03:28, 27 March 2025 (UTC)

2025 Toronto pub shooting
Hi there. I see you're new here, so welcome. I've undone your good faith edits on 2025 Toronto pub shooting because you seem to have introduced some factual errors, including calling the TTC the "Toronto Train Commission", and grammatical errors which were not present prior. You also added an excessive amount of tags including cleanup calling for the article to be written in Canadian English, which it already was, and current, which it isn't. For current
especially, the guideline says: "It is not intended to be used to mark an article that merely has recent news articles about the topic; if it were, hundreds of thousands of articles would have this template, with no informational consequence.
" You also created an "Updates" section with timestamps which resembles a news report—Wikipedia is not a newspaper. I understand you were expanding the article with new information released earlier today and I will help you with that. I hope this explanation is helpful. Limmidy (talk) 03:42, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
- Ah, I didn't know what TTC was, and I am sorry for mistaking it, I thought it was something to add, I am sorry. Valorrr (talk) 03:45, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
- As you can see by my userboxes and my banner on my userpage, I am in Chicago. Valorrr (talk) 03:45, 27 March 2025 (UTC)

Advice
Hello, Valorrr,
Unless you are a returning editor (and if you are, you should mention that on your User page), you are a very new editor having only had this account for one week. It is much too early for you to be offering to adopt new editors when you ARE a new editor or deciding to turn existing articles into Redirects. Please gain a lot more experience editing and improving articles before taking on responsibilities in the administrative side of Wikipedia.
If you have questions about this or other aspects of editing the project or you want a second opinion, please bring your questions to Wikipedia:Teahouse. For now, please slow down and do not be in a rush to dive into advanced editing on the project. You can get yourself into a lot of trouble despite your best intentions. Thank you. Liz Read! - I also don't know about your sandbox articles like User:Valorrr/Harris Bennett 2048 but please do not create hoax/fake articles or use your User pages for role playing games or they will likely be tagged for deletion. It's better to store this content off of this website. Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 20:16, 27 March 2025 (UTC)

My Mirror Mirror Edits You Reverted
Requesting immediate archiving...
A few days ago, I made a couple edits to the page of the Mirror Mirror movie under the IP, 2603:6010:8b00:44ff:c1c5:3619:3572:9147. And you reverted both of them. Yes, I know this is a bit late, but I just want to know why you reverted them. All I did was fix spots where two spaces were made instead of one, capitalize a letter at the beginning of a sentence, remove a few commas that were unnecessary, and update a small paragraph about Disney's Snow White to reflect current information. Now, I know that since then, several edits have been made. I just want to know your reason for undoing these. 2603:6010:8B00:44FF:280E:2C59:248A:7ECB (talk) 14:59, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
- One second, Let me check the reason and I'll get back to you within 5 minutes. Valorrr (talk) 15:00, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
- I believe I did it as you did the following;
- Changed "An upcoming" to "2025 film"
- and made some other minor edits, I believe I classified it as deconstructive, but I recommend you create an account to know if its you! Valorrr (talk) 15:02, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
- You really ought to be double checking what you’re reverting before undoing everyone’s edits Willy-Nilly. It really doesn’t bode well for all the editing privileges you’re so keen on getting if you can’t use them responsibly. 2601:243:2400:3300:A58F:1F4D:C2CB:6E80 (talk) 19:38, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
- Please as it is stated above assume WP:Goodfaith, I may of had a different reason, this was a couple of days ago?
- Reviewing more in depth, you removed some needed grammar. for ex; some commas etc, which made the article sound and look better...
- Valorrr (talk) 21:28, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Valorrr: all of the IPs edits are fine. You should not have reverted them. I agree with IP that you need to be careful before reverting edits. Such behavior is disruptive. voorts (talk/contributions) 02:35, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
- 1. The Queen enters her Mirror House to consult her reflection, the Mirror Queen. She has her temporarily turn Brighton into a cockroach as punishment for his betrayed and deception
,and requests a love potion to make Alcott fall in love with her- They removed the comma, making it sound more cluttered, when making a list.
- 2. Snow White encounters the Queen, who sends the Beast after her. It manages to catch her
,but hesitates in killing her.- Again, removed the comma, but this time it needs a break.
- 3. * Snow White,
an upcominga 2025 film based on the 1937 animated film which Martin Klebba was also involved in.- This time, no reference to support that source, making it unreferenced.
- I hope this helps me explain this,
@2601:243:2400:3300:A58F:1F4D:C2CB:6E80,
@2603:6010:8B00:44FF:280E:2C59:248A:7ECB,
@Voorts
Thanks, Valorrr (lets chat) 02:42, 6 April 2025 (UTC)- And then going onto support these claims.
1. Breaks the Wikipedia:Manual of Style
2. Again breaks the Wikipedia:Manual of Style
Thanks, Valorrr (lets chat) 02:49, 6 April 2025 (UTC) - On the commas thing, it might be a good idea if you gave this essay a read. Similarly, sourcing requirements tend to be very lax in "See Also" sections - there's an expectation that the linked article will support the content or any facts included will be so obvious that they don't need a citation. Also, to provide a different perspective, our IP colleague appears to have removed information that was uncited (namely that the film was upcoming). By reverting them, you also introduced unreferenced information. Does that make sense? GreenLipstickLesbian💌🦋 02:50, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
- Alright lets put it this way.
A upcoming filmA 2025 film
A upcoming film implies it will be coming soon.
A 2025 film means it was made in 2025.
Upcoming implies no sort of date, 2025 implies all of 2025 they have... There is no reference when it will be released.
So when making a article, about a upcoming movie that has no release date/citation would you either do;- 1. An upcoming film.
- 2. A 2025 film.
I am also very confused on how we have multiple users in here, and replying within a span of under 10 minutes, when they weren't mentioned?
If you're using alt accounts, please don't do so...
Thanks, Valorrr (lets chat) 02:57, 6 April 2025 (UTC)- Also comma's imply you are giving the user a break on a read, but still continuing the sentence, he didn't fix lots of grammatical errors, I saw some that were right next to the comma, and still didn't get fixed...
Thanks, Valorrr (lets chat) 02:59, 6 April 2025 (UTC)- It looks like there's a bit of confusion here - a 2025 film typically means that the film was first released (or is set to be first released) in 2025. It does not refer to the year it was filmed. (Fun fact: Snow White was actually filmed in 2022!) Similarly, there's a bit of confusion about how to use commas. It's often taught that commas are used to give readers a break. That's how I was taught it in school too, but it's not always accurate. Commas, as you pointed out, can be used to separate elements in a list. However, neither sentence we're looking at is a list. In this cases, the commas are being used to try and separate different clauses of the two sentences. The only problem is, as the IP editor pointed out, those aren't true clauses. Basically, all clauses must have an action and an subject performing the action. If we look at the problem in the first example, just the bit after the comma, we get
requests a love potion to make Alcott fall in love with her
. That obviously makes no sense, right? Who is requesting a love potion? I don't know. The reader doesn't know. We need more information. By removing the comma, we get to see the entire sentence in full:She has her temporarily turn Brighton into a cockroach as punishment for his betrayed[sp] and deception, and requests a love potion to make Alcott fall in love with her
. Now I can tell that "She" has requested a love potion. Doesn't that make more sense? You can read more about how to use commas here and here and when not to use commas here. Please give those resources a read before you make other grammar fixes. And I'm going to echo voorts here - you asked for assistance on a very public talk page. Of course other editors might try to help you. GreenLipstickLesbian💌🦋 03:39, 6 April 2025 (UTC)- Thank you, I've never watched snow white, I'm more of a star wars and crime show guy, so I didn't know if it was accurate, and currently dealing with some sickness (even though not excuse, sometimes can make them aggravated fast), I know how to do grammar fixes though, but I will read on those when I can, thank you for your contributions.
And I even remembered that it was a very public talk page.
Below I re-made the sentence "The Queen enters her Mirror House to consult her reflection, the Mirror Queen. She has her temporarily turn Brighton into a cockroach as punishment for his betrayalbetrayed,anddeception, and then requests a love potion to make Alcott fall in love with her." Z
Thanks, Valorrr (lets chat) 03:46, 6 April 2025 (UTC)- Honestly, I can't do both anti-vandalism work or copy-editing when I'm sick, so full sympathies on that front! Looking at the revision you've provided, it appears that you've attempted to turn the sentence into a list? I'm afraid that doesn't quite work. It implies that the Queen turned Brighton into a roach because of his betrayal, and she turned him into a roach because of his deception, and she turned him into a roach because somebody(?) "requests a love potion to make Alcott fall in love with her". Does that last one make much sense to you? It doesn't to me. When you've listing things, you can only list things that are relatively similar. For example, you can list three actions somebody did, you can list three items they like, or you can list three reasons they had for doing something. In this list, we have two reasons, and one action she took later, that's completely unconnected to the other two items in the list. GreenLipstickLesbian💌🦋 03:52, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, I get it, I never watched snow white, I got a bad sinus clog, so I'm constantly having my nose run, but yes! Makes it easier, I'm getting this thread archived asap! It's so big! Valorrr (lets chat) 03:55, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
- But thank you for your help, really appreciate it! Thanks, Valorrr (lets chat) 03:59, 6 April 2025 (UTC)

Grammatical Errors.
The following will explain why they are grammatical errors;
1. The Queen enters her Mirror House to consult her reflection, the Mirror Queen. She has her temporarily turn Brighton into a cockroach as punishment for his betrayed and deception, and requests a love potion to make Alcott fall in love with her.
- a. As you see by the strike on the comma, he is removing a comma on a list, and clearly not removing the and, which would be the more grammatical approach, below is the revised version.
- b. The Queen enters her Mirror House to consult her reflection, the Mirror Queen. She has her temporarily turn Brighton into a cockroach as punishment for his betrayal
betrayed,anddeception, and then requests a love potion to make Alcott fall in love with her.
- b. The Queen enters her Mirror House to consult her reflection, the Mirror Queen. She has her temporarily turn Brighton into a cockroach as punishment for his betrayal
2. Snow White encounters the Queen, who sends the Beast after her. It manages to catch her, but hesitates in killing her.
- a. This time it takes a break so the reader can have a bit of a break between reading the section..
- b. The correct way would be keeping the comma.
3. Snow White, an upcoming a 2025 film based on the 1937 animated film which Martin Klebba was also involved in.
- a. Upcoming implies anytime, 2025 implies within 2025, listing no sources to say its coming out in 2025.
- b. The correct way would be keeping the upcoming.
Hope this clears up any issues, and hope it resolved this discussion!

- An IP posted a polite comment on a talk page, and you reverted it, and called them a troll. That's not very GF, is it? 86.20.197.254 (talk) 02:54, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

- Maybe we could draw a line under this. I think you were both acting in good faith with you actions. It would be a shame to descend into incivility? Knitsey (talk) 03:05, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

- I don't think you have anything to worry about Valorrr, you seem to have got into the swing of (Wikipedia) things really quickly. You seem to be doing well so far. Knitsey (talk) 14:52, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

Might want to double check that this edit didn't wipe anything off the list that shouldn't have been. Izno (talk) 22:15, 17 April 2025 (UTC)

Kira Kazantsev page-move
An editor objected to your close, based on a reasonable procedural concern, within a few hours of it, and undid the move. Please re-open the discussion on its talk-page so it can be handled by someone else. DMacks (talk) 03:47, 15 April 2025 (UTC)
- Done. Valorrr (lets chat) 16:07, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started
Hi Valorrr. Thank you for your work on Miraculousladybug.com. Another editor, MPGuy2824, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
not mentioned in target page
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|MPGuy2824}}
. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
-MPGuy2824 (talk) 10:48, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- @MPGuy2824 as you see by the contribution history, the edit was made using a script that recommended it, as its the official domain for the article. Valorrr (lets chat) 20:57, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- Since it doesn't have a mention on the target page, it would lead to readers being surprised. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 06:49, 15 April 2025 (UTC)
- I can add the website on the target page, as its the official website. Valorrr (lets chat) 16:04, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

Hi!
User:Commander Ahsoka Tano "Claims" to be your alt or wants everything directed here. So I'm just asking if that's your alt. Sorry for the inconvenience. TheM1sty (talk) 16:32, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- It is my alt, and the corrections were correct, that is my account for Star Wars related items... Valorrr (lets chat) 16:33, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- That is correct.... Commander Ahsoka Tano (talk) 16:34, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, It just got flagged as possible vandalism. I'll do my research next time. TheM1sty (talk) 16:35, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- It is fine, but a bit of information about Star Wars, as I am a nerd; "BBY" - Before Battle of Yavin (The Years before that big battle their form of years)
"ABY" - After battle of Yavin (The years after the big battle) Its not a "Decade". Thanks, Valorrr (lets chat) 16:36, 7 April 2025 (UTC) - I am also gonna archive that warning as its false.... Valorrr (lets chat) 16:37, 7 April 2025 (UTC)

Mentor
Hi again Valorrr. I mentioned this at the Admin action thread. It might be worth considering looking for a mentor to help you through the early days of editing? It's up to you of course, but you can find details here Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user. You sometimes need to ask a few mentors, as the list in that link isn't always up to date. It can help having advice all in one place. See what you think. It's just a suggestion. Feel free to just delete this message if it isn't your type of thing. Good luck. Knitsey (talk) 21:28, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
- Ah, there might be some misunderstanding. I posted the above link thinking you might find someone to adopt you, from the list of people who are available to adopt, not to add yourself as a mentor. Knitsey (talk) 22:10, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thats been around for awhile lmao. Valorrr (lets chat) 22:11, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
- Haha. I never thought to look at the date. Silly me. Knitsey (talk) 22:15, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. Speedy deletion nomination of Derek Verdone

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Derek Verdone requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. JTtheOG (talk) 19:12, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
