Thanks for uploading Image:Bonga Kaxexe.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Yes, Nathan. I am from Angola and I work as a translator. I'm very fond of music and I am planning to provide as much as information as I can on the music subject (and others)

Thank you for uploading Image:Bonga_Kwenda.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
Thanks for uploading Image:Gerações.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Cloudz67917:14, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for Image:Bonga Swinga Swinga.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Bonga Swinga Swinga.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Massemba until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Jenks24 (talk) 01:03, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, and thanks for creating this article. I think it is a potentially useful search term, but I see nothing that meets WP:NALBUMS. I've therefore made it a redirect, but felt I should let you know. If you read the guidelines and think I've made a mistake, then please revert my edit and put the reasons you think it meets WP:NALBUMS on the Talk page. Hello, Valmir144, and thank you for your contributions!
I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, Primeiro de Agosto Basketball Team, is copied from another Wikipedia page, C.D. Primeiro de Agosto. It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:
a link to the article you copied from
the date you copied it
You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.
If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Girabola 2013-2014 Season requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Kumioko (talk) 01:39, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello- I have noticed that you have been creating and expanding many African basketball player and coach articles. Thank you for doing this as it helps increase the knowledge of world basketball. Please note that I have been making many edits to your work lately. WikiProject Basketball (and its partner projects for the NBA and college basketball) is a federation of editors from around the world and formatting guidelines have been agreed upon for how the Template:Infobox basketball biography should be used. I wanted to make you aware of these and ask that you follow this guidance for edits you make to basketball player and coach articles. Here are a few areas that I have corrected lately:
Nationalities are never wiki-linked
Flag icons are not used in the infobox except for the international medal table box
Teams in the club history section are in chronological order from first club to most recent
There are no spaces between dashes and years in this table
If a player competes at the University level, this appears in the college field not in the club history
There are some others, but these are the main areas I think will benefit you. We appreciate the work that you have done, but please respect that these standards have been agreed to and that there are thousands of articles that already use them. The result is hopefully that basketball articles have a consistent look and feel across English Wikipedia. Feel free to let me know on my Talk page if I can help ou in any way. Thank you. Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Urban District of Kilamba Kiaxi. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Template:Urban District of Kilamba Kiaxi. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Template:Urban District of Kilamba Kiaxi – you might like to discuss new information at [[Talk:Template:Urban District of Kilamba Kiaxi|the article's talk page]].
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Tentinator09:03, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page Samba (disambiguation). However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation do's and don'ts, you should:
Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
Use short sentence fragment descriptions, which should not end with punctuation
Use only one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry, and avoid red links
Do not pipe links—keep the full title of the article visible
Your recent editing history at Samba (disambiguation) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

Hello, Valmir144. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, 1980 Girabola, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Raúl Duarte, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.
If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.
You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.
If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Could you please mention which country Luanda is in?
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Op47 (talk) 22:54, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
STOP using template programming variables... {{{name|text}}} They have no place in an article. It takes a long time to remove those things and I don't always do it correctly. Bgwhite (talk) 03:44, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Valmir144. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Raúl Duarte".
The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Raúl Duarte}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Basketball at the 2007 All-Africa Games – Women's team rosters, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Basketball at the 2007 All-Africa Games – Men's team rosters. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 13:51, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be glad to help you in that but please note that both clubs haven't been in action for quite long. Evale has participated in just one edition of Girabola and it hasn't been heard of eversince (possibly discontinued) whereas Sporting de Luanda stopped participating in girabola in the mid 80s. Its senior team has been discontinued as well so the information available about any of them is really scarce. Diógenes is not a relevant player in girabola so there isn't much about him available as well. If I however find anything relevant, I'll pass that information on to you. Regards

Do you know in which stadium plays the Polivalentes FC de Luanda?
The team plays in Gira Angola but there aren't source and information about history(girabola), players and stadium.
Thanks--Lglukgl (talk) 23:27, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
Hi! I am compiling a list of girabola players. Please take a look: List of Girabola players
Polivalentes , unlike most teams in girabola, which is weird, has its own court, called "campo do polivalentes" and its headquarters are located in the Palanca neighborhood. For financial reasons they usually don't make it to the Girabola even though they regularly play at Girangola. Best[reply]
Thanks for the stadium. I am interested in angolan football and i have seen your list two time because i 've created two players who composed the list.
These are in my opinion the best angolan future talets if you want take a look.
Also i'm interested to create the angolan third division but i don 't find a source. do you know a web site where i can see some information about this league?
I think that Rsssf can 't help me because they have just the top division.Or they have the third division?--Lglukgl (talk) 00:52, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure there is actually a third division in Angola. Teams contest in their province championships in order to access the Girangola. Angop is the best source of news of any kind in Angola. Their news date back from the year 2000 and you can choose from portuguese, english, french and spanish. You have advanced search with the word you want to find and you can search by date and topic. Right now I'm trying to create the squads for all teams in Girabola but there isn't much information available about certain players, like full name and previous club.
I 've find some article writed by José Batalha about Angolan Third Division also know as Provincial Stage in the Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation.→→http://www.rsssf.com/tablesa/ango2013.html#province
If you consider the salary level from top clubs you can say it surely ranks among the top 5 leagues in Africa but it still lacks some organization and the rules of a true professional league. Actually this is an ongoing topic for discussions when to turn the girabola into a true professional league. I guess the main problem is that maybe only 50% of the current clubs in girabola are fit to sustain the financial burden of a professional league.
my best guess is that both teams are out of business right now. Actually, I've never heard of any of them taking part in any competition. They might be revived in the future, I guess...
No!! Petro is a post-independence team. Atlético de Luanda is one of the oldest teams in Angola. AL has been out of business after independence. I think it celebrated 90 years last week. It's being revived now. Actually Petro has taken over AL's facilities and both will probably go to court to settle that dispute.
Atlético Sport Aviação is a pre-independence club. That's it's original name. After independence it was renamed as Desportivo da TAAG and then renamed to its original name. Clube Atlético de Luanda has never changed its name. It has nothing to do with ASA. Independente do Tombwa is still there but not much active after taking part in the first post-independence Girabola. I don't know anything about Lobito Sport Clube. Cheers
Do you know something about Desportivo da Eka?
I know that in the past the team played in Girabola but now i don't know where it plays.Gira Angola?Provincial league?
It's been quite a long time I don't hear about them either. They are probably out of business. Another team from the Kwanza Norte province, Porcelana FC, has joined the girabola in 2013

I fail to see any reason why you changing color on some people to a very light grey. 1) it make no sense. 2) color cannot be the only was to convey information and 3) most importantly, the light grey is very hard to read.Bgwhite (talk) 01:23, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The reason I do that is for the players who are no longer part of the team. Any suggestion?
Again, stop adding color. It makes absolutely no sense. You can't read it and color CAN NOT be used to convey information. A wikilink is supposed to be red when there is no article for the player. You already added a T and R. There is no reason to add the color. Bgwhite (talk) 06:21, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry I did that in the first place. When you ask me again to stop adding colour it looks like I did it again even after you told me not to

Per WP:NRIVALRY - no indication through sourced prose that any let alone sufficient, significant, reliable discussion exists on this rivalry. The opening sentence of the article Being the two most popular and biggest clubs in Angola, it is only logical that the clashes between Primeiro de Agosto and Petro de Luanda are unmatched in terms of anticipation, pure thrill and competition screams WP:OR. All this aside from the inherent WP:NOTSTATS angle.

Can you create navboxes for all the teams at the AfroBasket 2015, according to FIBA.com? The website has articles in which they sometimes list the players on the preliminary squad at the bottom of the page. I have already done Algeria, Ivory Coast, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Gabon, Senegal, Mozambique, Uganda, and Nigeria. Remaining are Angola, Cameroon, Egypt, Mali, Morocco, Tunisia, and Zimbabwe (some may not be announced yet). Also, if you have time, work on expanding the AfroBasket 2015 squads page. Hi Valmir, could I please ask you to take a little more time over your AfD nominations for Angolan (and other) football clubs. You have nominated three clubs yesterday on the grounds that they are hoaxes when even the most cursory review of the relevant pages at RSSSF would show that not only were none of the hoaxes, but that two of them were clearly notable per WP:FOOTYN and WP:NTEMP. Thanks. Fenix down (talk) 08:52, 4 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No need for this long list of redlinks. These squad listings are not squads that achieved anything inherently notable (such as winning a national or continental title). Nor does this team play in a WP:FPL, so the chance of many of these redlinks ever being populated is minimal.

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Kuvango a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Rambé, without citing a reliable source using an inline citation that clearly supports the material. The burden is on the person wishing to keep in the material to meet these requirements, as a necessary (but not always sufficient) condition. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. GiantSnowman20:19, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Santa Rita de Cassia FC Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Mambroa Huambo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. AS one of Wikipedia's most experienced editors,
Would you please consider becoming a New Page Reviewer? Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; currently Wikipedia needs experienced users at this task. (After gaining the flag, patrolling is not mandatory. One can do it at their convenience). But kindly read the tutorial before making your decision. Thanks.
We get a lot of sports articles, so perhaps you could use the New Page Patrol browser to find those to review them?~~~~

I recently sent you an invitation to join NPP, but you also might be the right candidate for another related project, AfC, which is also extremely backlogged. Would you please consider becoming an Articles for Creation reviewer? Articles for Creation reviewers help new users learn the ropes of creating their first articles, and identify whether topics are suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia. Reviewing drafts doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia inclusion policies and guidelines; currently Wikipedia needs experienced users at this task. (After requesting to be added to the project, reviewing is not mandatory. One can do it at their convenience). But kindly read the reviewing instructions before making your decision. Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Édson Nobre a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Edson Nobre. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. 115.166.5.145 (talk) 12:30, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page G.D. Isaac, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:
A "bare URL" error. References show this error when one of the URL-containing parameters cannot be paired with an associated title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)
An article you recently created, G.D. Isaac, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969TT me11:07, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Valmir144. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "G.D. Isaac".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Hi Valmir, Could I please aks you to be very careful when adding lists of players to articles. Whilst it is great that an experienced editor is helping expand and maintain a neglected part of the encyclopedia, I am not sure that the lists of players you have added to Angolan football clubs over the years are the right way to go about things. Not only are they against Wikipedia:NOTSTATS, they are also in many instances extremely long, unreferenced and against the style of other club articles. PLease let me know if oyu are unclear about anything I have said. Thanks, Fenix down (talk) 16:51, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
