New pages patrol January 2025 Backlog drive

January 2025 Backlog Drive \| New pages patrol
On 1 January 2025, a one-month backlog drive for new pages patrol will begin in hopes of addressing the growing backlog. Barnstars will be awarded based on the number of articles and redirects patrolled. Each article review will earn 1 point, while each redirect review will earn 0.2 points. Streak awards will be given out based on consistently hitting point thresholds for each week of the drive. Bermuda Smash Invitational

Hi there, and thank you for your help with NPP! I noticed you recently nominated Bermuda Smash Invitational for speedy deletion and then marked it as reviewed. It's best not to mark articles tagged for speedy deletion as reviewed, in case an administrator declines the tag. For example, they might decline a G4 if the article isn’t similar enough to the one previously deleted. That doesn’t necessarily mean the article meets inclusion standards—it just means it doesn’t qualify for speedy deletion. Conversely, if an article is nominated for deletion at AfD, it’s fine to mark it as reviewed, since the discussion will determine notability. If it passes AfD, it’s good to go; if it fails, it’ll be deleted. I hope that makes sense! Let me know if you have any questions.
