Speedy deletion nomination of User:PGMHN
[edit]
A tag has been placed on your user page, User:PGMHN, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 14:42, 13 February 2025 (UTC)

Request reason:
I understand that my previous edits were considered promotional, and I apologize for violating Wikipedia's policies. I have chosen a new username that complies with the username policy. If unblocked, I plan to contribute to articles related to international law and human rights in a neutral, encyclopedic manner. Thank you for considering my appeal. PGMHN (talk) 10:30, 15 February 2025 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Unfortunately, we haven't heard from you in a month, so I am closing this stale request. If you are interested in editing again, please submit a new request. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 03:50, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Hi there! I've gone ahead and reformatted your unblock request to make it more legible. That said, thank you for describing the types of edits you would like to make if you were unblocked, as well as providing a potential new username. I won't speak to either of those issues right now. However, could you please review Wikipedia's payment disclosure and conflict of interest policies and guidelines, then explain how those apply to your block? Thank you! - Hi,
- Thank you very much for responding. I has sent another request and this is not the name I will be using. I just want to make sure you have the correct name. NoChildATarget is the name I would like to use. Thank you. PGMHN (talk) 21:02, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) Hi @PGMHN:, can you please review the username policy again as that would be too close to your organisations name? It should represent you as an individual.
- Can you please also answer the outstanding questions? I'd start with the numbered items on the block notice (#1-4) for an overview of what we need, then the linked policy pages for conflict of interest and paid editing (you'll need to understand if one or both apply in your case). It'll help if you can confirm your connection to the organisation you've written about.
- Reading WP:Guide to appealing blocks gives you a really good idea of what we are looking for in your appeal.
- Basically, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Not every organisation qualifies for an encyclopedia article and those that do must follow strict guidelines. These include WP:Notability, WP:Reliable sources and WP:NPOV, amongst others.
- Creating a well-written & neutral encyclopedia article isn't easy. It's even harder if you're new, and almost impossible if you're directly involved with the subject. Even the most experienced editor will have to take incredible care when writing about their employer, for example.
- Even if your organisation qualifies for an article, you might not be the best person to edit it - that's why there are such strict paid editing and conflict of interest rules that must be followed.
- You can't be unblocked until you can prove that you're sufficiently familiar with and understand these policies and how they apply to your editing. I'll be honest that this won't be easy, but it's not meant to be - if it was, this wouldn't be an encyclopedia. It'd be millions of AI-written advertisements for random shoestores & carpet sellers.
- Alternatively, you could agree to avoid editing any articles that relate to your organisation and gain experience as a normal volunteer editor instead, then perhaps revisit the article in future when you're more familiar with how Wikipedia works. Blue Sonnet (talk) 22:24, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
