[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from List of Preacher episodes. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- AlexTW 14:48, 28 August 2018 (UTC)
September 2018
[edit] Please stop removing maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia without resolving the problem that the template refers to. This may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. -- AlexTW 08:16, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for September 18
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jonny Coyne, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page AMC (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Wikipedia and copyright
[edit] Hello NobbyR! Your additions to The Shattering Peace have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § Licensing.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 12:13, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, Moneytrees! Instead of the summary, I added a short premise of the book's content. NobbyR (talk) 13:55, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
Hello, NobbyR
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Crystallizedcarbon, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, The Shattering Peace, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Crystallizedcarbon}}
. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Crystallizedcarbon (talk) 16:32, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- Crystallizedcarbon correctly proposed your article for deletion since it has not yet been published. Based on Scalvi's reputation for bestsellers, I think it will meet the requirements of Wikipedia:Notability (books) soon after it hits the market. Until then, to save you from having to re-create your work I have moved the article to a user subpage:
- NobbyR, thank you for your work here! --A. B. (talk • contribs • global count) 17:02, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- You're welcome. NobbyR (talk) 13:26, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
- I can only accept that. However, it is not uncommon to have articles about upcoming works of art on Wikipedia. e.g. future MCU movies. NobbyR (talk) 13:28, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
- If I had to guess, this would be due to all the press coverage. These movies involve millions of dollars and hundreds of people, some of them famous.
- I don’t normally work on popular culture topics but I do scan deletions. It just seemed a shame to ditch your good work when it’s clear we’re going to want that article after the book’s publication.
- I appreciate your work and your patience with all our arcane guidelines. —A. B. (talk • contribs • global count) 13:59, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
- I do think that the article meets the criteria on not-yet-published books as discribed here: Wikipedia:Notability (books) - Wikipedia. NobbyR (talk) 09:05, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:The Shattering Peace Cover.jpg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:The Shattering Peace Cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Johnj1995 (talk) 18:29, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
- The image is used in the article about the upcomig novel. Because the novel hasn't been published yet, it was removed and moved to my user subpage. It will be updated and posted once the book is releaed. Therefore, I ask to keep it. NobbyR (talk) 13:14, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
