Question from Steven Dott on Help talk:Introduction to images with Wiki Markup/1 (04:58, 1 March 2025)
[edit]That "How to Edit" link doesn't tell you shit.
I spotted an error on this page and wanted to edit it.. you don't even give the option to point out what that error is and where.
This is stupid. --Steven Dott (talk) 04:58, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
- I can't say that's the best attitude to have. Maybe give Help:Editing a read. Mujinga (talk) 09:22, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
Question from Meli Dube on User talk:Meli Dube (18:31, 2 March 2025)
[edit]How to write an essay --Meli Dube (talk) 18:31, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Meli Dube maybe give Help:Editing a read. Also, I rolled back your edit at Barnes Wallis Academy because it was not constructive. Mujinga (talk) 19:38, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
Question from Surendersundaram (05:26, 3 March 2025)
[edit]how to move my page from sandbox to main space as move option is not there under tools --Surendersundaram (talk) 05:26, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Surendersundaram you have found a way to publish an article about yourself in hindi langauge with no reliable sources, so i have asked for that to be deleted, if you need more help, please follow the links i posted at your talkpage, User talk:Surendersundaram Mujinga (talk) 08:48, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
Question from Tunnybun1991 (13:22, 3 March 2025)
[edit]Hi Mujinga, I wanted to find out if you could look at my article and give me any advice on getting it published? --Tunnybun1991 (talk) 13:22, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Tunnybun1991 sure, what article are we talking about? Mujinga (talk) 01:30, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
- User:Tunnybun1991/sandbox. I'm not sure if there are enough citations and if they are linked correctly. Tunnybun1991 (talk) 12:39, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi again @Tunnybun1991, that's a good start on the article! When it is a biot more polished it would be good to submit it via Wikipedia:Articles for creation. At the moment I think it wouldn't get published, for reasons like the heraldonline article giving a 404 - do you have an updated link?, the over-usage of bolded text and this sentence not having a citation - "Some tracks were recorded in Zimbabwe, while others were completed in South Africa before the final mastering and mixing took place in France.". The references could be stronger, any signigicant coverage in reliable sources such as national magazines or newspapers would be ideal. For inspiration, please look at already existing articles about albums. Hope that helps! Mujinga (talk) 16:16, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
- let me look over some existing articles and implement the suggestions and see from there. Thank you so much for you input. Greatly invaluable Tunnybun1991 (talk) 16:26, 5 March 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hello I kindly want to ask how I can edit and create a new Wikipedia for a prominent person Can you guide me through? --Simbiatoamen (talk) 05:35, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
Hi Simbiatoamen, yes i can guide you in the sense of answering questions. There's a lot of info on wikipedia already and for making a new article, you'd want to use Wikipedia:Articles for creation. Happy editing! Mujinga (talk) 01:05, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
Question from Fadilatchag on Paris Saint-Germain FC (women) (00:01, 9 March 2025)
- Machine translation - Hello PSG officials!!! Excuse me for the inconvenience, my daughter is 13 years old and since then she dreams of playing for PSG. She is in Colorado (USA). I beg you to welcome her. Thank you for your good courage --Fadilatchag (talk) 00:01, 9 March 2025 (UTC) Mujinga (talk) 14:51, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Fadilatchag this does not have much to do with wikipedia and it's not the way to reach PSG Mujinga (talk) 14:51, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
Question from SlipperyWeenis (00:13, 10 March 2025)
[edit]What is the fastest way I can become an admin? --SlipperyWeenis (talk) 00:13, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- You jest I imagine, @SlipperyWeenis. Becoming an admin takes time, I don't think there are any "rules" but less than 3,000 edits would not be looked at favourably. And it's perfectly possible to contribute to wikipedia without being an admin. Happy editing! Mujinga (talk) 10:51, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
Question from Osenilateefahadebola (13:22, 10 March 2025)

Question from Oleksandr Makarov (13:31, 11 March 2025)
[edit]Hi. I found some mistakes and discrepancies on the page of the canadian zionist federation. I would like to make some adjustments and edits using the official source: https://www.czf.ca/
Wikipedia rules regarding my status are a little bit unclear. How can I get "approved" status if I'm not allowed to edit? --Oleksandr Makarov (talk) 13:31, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Oleksandr Makarov hi this is a bit unclear to me. do you have a personal or professional affiliation with the canadian zionist federation, is that what you mean? if so, then it's probably best first to read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest or at the least to suggest edits via the talkpage of the relevant page. secondary sources would certainly be preferred for all but basic infos. Mujinga (talk) 18:04, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
- No, I am not directly affiliated with this organization. I work on image management and serve as a personal assistant to one of the individuals mentioned on the organization’s website. The information about this person has been updated on the website, but the Wikipedia entry still contains outdated details. This is why I want to correct the discrepancy in the Wikipedia article.
- My question was about how I can obtain the status required to suggest such edits, given that to acquire this status, I need to make corrections and identify discrepancies in articles. I don’t fully understand the conditions for obtaining the status: “To be able to do X, you must do X four times.” How does this system work? Oleksandr Makarov (talk) 14:12, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Oleksandr Makarov It's still a bit hard to understand what you are asking me, but I think a read this page will help you out - Wikipedia:Edit requests Mujinga (talk) 10:18, 15 March 2025 (UTC)

Question from Jessica3801 (23:14, 21 March 2025)
[edit]Hello! It's nice to meet you as my assigned mentor! I created Talk:Destiel to talk about replacing a redirect with a proper article that I already drafted, is there anything else I have to do to ensure people see it? --Jessica3801 (talk) 23:14, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Jessica3801 it's nice to look at your contributions and see an editor learning how wikipedia works! Honestly I doubt very many people will see what you wrote at Talk:Destiel, but that's ok because you also created Draft:Destiel and a note at the top of that says "The page Destiel in the mainspace is currently a redirect to Supernatural (American TV series)." So I woold say if you are happy with your draft to submit it as you have done with other articles before and wait to see what the reviewer says. On a quick look there seem to be enough reliable sources to me (but I'm not an AfC reviewer). Wishing youmany more edits! Mujinga (talk) 08:37, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you very much! -Jessica3801 (talk) 19:58, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
Question from Susanladue (17:19, 22 March 2025)
[edit]Hello, Mujinga, and thank you for being my mentor! I would like to suggest an addition to the article "Lesbian," and then, if it's approved submit at least part of the edit myself. I'm a retired academic and have some experience publishing articles and one book The addition I want to suggest to "Lesbian" would suggest of a brief introduction of a crucial author and then one or some insertions where her book is relevant (it is a standard academic and public book on its subject.) Is that a good way to proceed? Thank you, Susan LaDue --Susanladue (talk) 17:19, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Susanladue how nice you have a new interest in wikipedia! it can be an addictive hobby :) i put some helpful links on how to edit at User talk:Susanladue, if you have specific questions please feel free to ask. a foundational principle here is to be bold so I would say go ahead and make your edit(s) to Lesbian, if they are referenced to a reliable source then they should be fine. Don't worry about breaking anything, every edit is recorded and can be rolled back if necessary. Happy editing! Mujinga (talk) 18:45, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Mujinga, note that Lesbian is semi-protected, so @Susanladue can't edit it yet.
- @Susanladue, I put a template response to your edit request there. When requesting edits to protected pages you should write out the edit yourself, including exact sources, and just leave it for the person reviewing the request to copy and paste it in. But it may also be easiest if you make a couple edits elsewhere and then come back to this article once you are autoconfirmed.
- Happy editing all! meamemg (talk) 14:34, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Meamemg aha thanks for that! Mujinga (talk) 16:02, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
Question from Euphoria001 (14:56, 24 March 2025)
[edit]please, when i go to the tab that shows my contributions i see some numbers over there. some are + and others are -. what is the meaning of those numbers in the bracket --Euphoria001 (talk) 14:56, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Euphoria001 I had a look at Special:Contributions/Euphoria001 abd I see what you mean! This is the contribution size to the article in question by byte or perhaps kilobyte. It's + if you added something, like your edit here was +324, or - if you took something out. Hope that makes sense! Mujinga (talk) 16:05, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- yes thank you Euphoria001 (talk) 08:48, 3 April 2025 (UTC)

Hi, is there a way to add a sentence to a temporarily locked page? --Jenna1993 (talk) 03:26, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Jenna1993. Can you tell me which page you are talking about? Mujinga (talk) 08:50, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, the page is Caylee Anthony's Death. Under the Aftermath section, there is a section about tributes and music. I wanted to add a sentence about a popular tribute song that was left off the page. Jenna1993 (talk) 10:17, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Jenna1993 thanks - Death of Caylee Anthony is semi-protected, so for now you can make an edit request at the talk page (Talk:Death_of_Caylee_Anthony) per Wikipedia:Edit requests. as explained at Wikipedia:Protection_policy#semi, once you are autoconfirmed (by having an account that is at least 4 days old with at least 10 edits on English Wikipedia), you will be able to edit directly Mujinga (talk) 10:43, 26 March 2025 (UTC)

Question from Parameciumfan4 (18:55, 2 April 2025)
[edit]Hello, a beginner editor here. Is adding pictures to articles in places where they lack one a good way to start? My first edit here was adding a picture to an article and im just wondering if they are good first steps to editing --Parameciumfan4 (talk) 18:55, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Parameciumfan4Yes adding pictures could be a useful contribution if that follows your interest. Please be aware that there are very specific copyright requirements regarding what can and cannot be uploaded. Most images are uploaded to wikicommons, you can follow the instructions there - https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard Mujinga (talk) 11:41, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
Question from CharlotteShewchuk (23:00, 9 April 2025)
[edit]Hello. I am a student working with my professor to reorganize the articles for solar energy in different countries around the world. The information in the articles is accurate, but the lack of consistent structure between each article makes it difficult to compare across countries. How would we go about fixing that? --CharlotteShewchuk (talk) 23:00, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @CharlotteShewchuk this is a great question, which I had to consider after seeing yesterday. I do think it's a weakness of wikipedia(s) that articles about different things in different countries vary so much in structure and it's a good thing to standardise. However, as a new editor it might be worth getting to know how wikipedia works before making any large scale interests. There might already be people working on the task you have identified, you might meet them through a relevant wikiproject. Also if you are working in the sense of being paid, you might have a conflict of interest which is fine but needs to be declasred - Wikipedia:Conflict of interest gives the details. In terms of starting off, perhaps improve one page to the quality and structure you would like all related pages to be, and in doing so you might meet other editors interested to discuss. If you give me a specific page I could advise more. Good luck! Mujinga (talk) 07:57, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
