If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. - Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Somehow adding company or biz information is not allowed at wikipedia and username error. Which I don't know. Si it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or website, which is against the username policy.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- General Purpose knowledge articles unrelated to bussiness or promotion
- Provide a new username.

Given your current username (Layerwire) and the fact that you created a draft for the business Layerwire, can you explain your connection to that company? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 01:41, 7 June 2025 (UTC)

- Could you log in so we know it's you? I have renamed your account. A different uninvolved admin will review your request. PhilKnight (talk) 12:39, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
- As the owner of the company, you have a financial stake in the company, which makes you a paid editor, even if you aren't directly being paid to edit. Please review Wikipedia's payment disclosure policy. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 13:43, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hello,
- I appreciate your response and the efforts of editors on Wikipedia. However, I find it puzzling that while Wikipedia hosts information on millions of businesses, it sometimes treats contributions from people with direct knowledge or ownership as problematic — even when those contributions aim to improve accuracy or provide clarity.
- It doesn’t seem entirely fair to assume that all business-related edits made by owners are inherently promotional or biased. After all, accurate firsthand information can be valuable, especially when properly sourced and transparent.
- The comment suggesting that I, or people in similar positions, are paid editors simply by virtue of having a financial interest in a business feels overly broad and a bit unfair. I understand the need for neutrality and transparency on Wikipedia, and I’m willing to comply with its policies, including the payment disclosure guidelines.
- However, I’d like to kindly request that future discussions remain respectful and avoid assumptions or personal remarks that may come across as offensive or dismissive.
- Thank you for your understanding.
- Kind regards, 152.58.122.130 (talk) 14:26, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
- Again, you need to log in so that people know it is you. In any case, having an AI lecture people about Wikipedia's core policies is unlikely to lead to being unblocked. The fact is that you are a paid editor under Wikipedia's WP:PAID policy and the terms of use agreed upon in order to participate on this website. If you wish to be unblocked you need to address this conduct, how your conduct will change, and in your own words since you, the person, is blocked, not ChatGPT or a similar LLM.
