Question from GMKAUDIO (18:15, 20 January 2025)

the gateway pundit wiki is not fake news. It needs to be changed. the sources are all messed up. Cant just say that its fake news --GMKAUDIO (talk) 18:15, 20 January 2025 (UTC)

No, they are indeed fake news. See their entry here: WP:RSP:
The Gateway Pundit was deprecated in the 2019 RfC, which showed consensus that the site is unacceptable as a source. It is unreliable for statements of fact, and given to publishing hoax articles and reporting conspiracy theories as fact.

Question from JHYTTEN (16:49, 24 January 2025)

Hi, I submitted a draft page for review a few weeks ago, but I can't see any trace of it, and I can't see in the AfC list either. Could you help me confirm if it is pending or if I've done something wrong?! Thanks. --JHYTTEN (talk) 16:49, 24 January 2025 (UTC)

Question from Asaboa (21:03, 14 February 2025)

Hello sir, how do I create a citation and do I need to contact the person am writing about? --Asaboa (talk) 21:03, 14 February 2025 (UTC)

@Asaboa Hi, Welcome to Wikipedia. This link will take you to a handy introduction to creating citations. I would read through that first and then come back here if you have any further questions. As for needing to contact the subject of the article you are creating, you do not need to contact them. Articles on wikipedia are not owned by the subject. Jeffrey R. Question from Swapnilkakde1996 (19:16, 17 February 2025)

Hello buddy

I want to create my own page on wikipedia. Could you help me in this regard.

Thank with regards! --Swapnilkakde1996 (talk) 19:16, 17 February 2025 (UTC)

@Swapnilkakde1996 An article on yourself or an article on another subject. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 01:38, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
article on myself Swapnilkakde1996 (talk) 16:49, 19 February 2025 (UTC)
@Swapnilkakde1996 You can not write an article on yourself as you have a Conflict of Interest. If you believe you're a subject of Notability and there are reliable third party sources you may be able to find another editor to create the article for you. However, looking at your user page I have doubts about you being a subject of notability to have an article here on Wikipedia. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 00:30, 20 February 2025 (UTC)

Question from Xyzhellogain (08:32, 10 March 2025)

Hello Jeffrey

Hope you are doing well.

I am a newbie on Wikipedia as far as contributing is concerned though I have been an avid reader since ages.

I have created an article by the name - RIV (As a name). I would be extremely happy to get some insight on the quality, do's and dont's before it can be published. --Xyzhellogain (talk) 08:32, 10 March 2025 (UTC)

Question from Stealthship7 (00:49, 16 March 2025)

Hi Jeffrey,

I have just started editing some articles and would like to hear your thoughts! I made the most changes to the article about Donald Attig and would really like to hear some feedback. I understand that you may be busy but any advice would be much appreciated.

Best, Stealthship7 --Stealthship7 (talk) 00:49, 16 March 2025 (UTC)

Question from MJCeledon (04:40, 20 March 2025)

Help Publishing a New Mathematical Framework on Wikipedia

Hello Mr. Clark

I am MJ Celedon I’m working on publishing an article about Fluid Mathematics System (FMS), a proposed mathematical framework that integrates classical, quantum, and computational mathematics. I submitted a draft through Articles for Creation (AfC), but it was declined due to concerns about the following: 1. Notability – FMS is a new framework, and there are limited independent sources beyond my published research. 2. Tone and neutrality – The article was flagged as too promotional. 3. Verification of research – I have published research on Zenodo (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.15038600) and Academia.edu, but I am unsure if Wikipedia considers these reliable sources.

I would appreciate your guidance on the following: How to properly cite self-published research while meeting Wikipedia’s verification standards

What additional sources would strengthen the notability of FMS How to adjust the article’s tone to ensure it meets Wikipedia’s neutrality guidelines

Any steps I can take to improve the chances of approval

I’m not a great writer so this part of getting my mathematical system published is very hard for me. I would greatly appreciate your guidance. I do use chatGPT to help clean up my writing but it is all my own work.

Best regards, MJ Celedon --MJCeledon (talk) 04:40, 20 March 2025 (UTC)

@MJCeledon Hi and welcome to Wikipedia, with the lack of third party sources and the subject being largely a self-published research work it's highly unlikely to pass notability at this point in time. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 00:55, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
