To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the
button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
- If you remind me in a week or so, I can create the article on Blazer for you.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 11:09, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- That would be fantastic, I will stick a reminder to do so. I had this on my list to create a ship's page for it that was better referenced so this could go with it, but if you can do something that would be brilliant. Thanks very much. Hannah Bradbury-Crowther (talk) 11:11, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, I forgot to remind you initially but if you can still create the article on Blazer, that would be great - thanks! Hannah Bradbury-Crowther (talk) 14:10, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
Hannah Bradbury-Crowther, Thank you for your work on this article and others on Wikipedia! I have to agree with the nominator however, "Figurehead: HMS Queen Charlotte (1810)" needs better sourcing before it is ready to go live. You might want to bring it into Draft form and continue to work on it. Also, please note, Wikipedia does not allow for the publishing of original research in the article. This looks like it may have been the case in the "Conservation and reinterpretation" section. WP:NOR Wikipedia articles must not contain previously unpublished material, including facts, arguments, analyses, or interpretations. Hence why it is important to encourage local institutions to publish and to publish to accepted academic standards. Otherwise to much information reminds hidden in the archives. If you have not already you may wish to checkout the GLAM–Wiki initiative on Wikipedia.
