Welcome!

Hello, BlakeVarnadoeAuthor, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Writing about yourself is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians.

As this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. We require individuals to meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable person to accept articles about them. A page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to or change it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hi, BlakeVarnadoeAuthor, you'll likely not be pleased about this but I have suppressed your draft article which reveals too much personally identifiable information about yourself. I've done this per policy and for your own protection and safety on-line as you are a self-declared minor. I'm really sorry about that and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add it. For some useful information on privacy and safety, take a look at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. Note also that, as a general rule, it is not appropriate to write articles about oneself. Risker (talk) 02:27, 21 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Some advice

[edit]

I see that you have come to Wikipedia to get public visibility for your book. Many people come here to publicise their work, whether writing, music, running a business, or anything else. Unfortunately, most of them fail to do so, which must be at best disappointing, and at worst frustrating and annoying. I have put some time into looking for information about you and your book. What I found was very interesting, and I wish you every success, both with the book you have published and with any future writing you may do. However, I'm afraid my advice has to be to give up trying to use Wikipedia to publicise your book, because any work you put into doing so will be a waste of your time and effort. That is because your book certainly does not satisfy Wikipedia's notability guidelines, which means no article about it, no matter how well written, will be suitable. I know this advice will not be welcome to you, but it is better to make the situation clear to you than to leave you to put a lot of work into something which is bound to fail. If at some time your work receives substantial coverage in multiple reliable independent sources, it will be appropriate for someone to write a Wikipedia article about it.
