Talk page redirects?

Hi there and welcome to Wikipedia! May I ask what the purpose of creating redirects on Talk Pages are? Creating a redirect on a talk page is normally unnecessary, especially if the Talk Page was non existent to begin with. Nil🥝^Talk 12:27, 2 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am not them, but please stop creating talk pages for redirects, especially redirects to other talk pages. Normal users will basically never see the actual redirect, and even fewer users bother to check the talk page, let alone the talk page of a redirect they barely get to see.

So, in essence you are doing work for an edge case of an edge case that will come into play exceedingly rarely. There are better ways to improve the project, and if it's "only" fixing a typo here or there. LightlySeared (talk) 14:52, 2 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
