User:Ned Scott
I live in Arizona, USA. My main focus on Wikipedia is working on articles about entertainment and fiction (particularly anime and science fiction, which is probably not a big surprise), though I do enjoy working on much more than just those kinds of articles. Lately I've been more active in meta space than in article space, focusing on discussions and technical features such as templates. I'm also very interested in applying some of the methodology of Wikipedia to other wikis around the internet, which lead me to start up WikiProject Transwiki.
Unfortunately my personal time is being consumed by some other stuff lately, and I'm not nearly as active as I once was. Don't let that stop you from leaving me a message or asking for assistance if you feel I can be of some help! I will always be a Wikipedian, and look forward to always having at least some level of contribution to this great project. I also plan on getting more active again to at least finish a number of projects/ideas that I've either had or was involved in.

Should the source be included? (question 1) If so, should it be included in the current manner, including the statement that the authors are "40 topic experts"? (question 2)
"The Misandry Myth: An Inaccurate Stereotype About Feminists’ Attitudes Toward Men" is currently included in the final sentence of the article's intro and the final paragraph of the article itself. Some users have argued that the source is WP:PRIMARY, and that it is therefore against Wikipedia's guidelines to use it to claim empirical proof of controversial claims, such as "The false idea that misandry is commonplace among feminists is so widespread that it has been called the 'misandry myth' by 40 topic experts" and "feminist views of men were no different than that of non-feminists or men towards men." Other users have argued that the source is WP:SECONDARY, and that it is therefore fine to include. Additionally, some users have argued that calling the authors "40 topic experts" is not adequately supported, while other users feel that being author of an academic article is enough reason to be called a "topic expert." 1: Babur (British Museum) 2: Babur (Smithsonian Museum) Which of these two paintings (1:British Museum, 2:Smithsonian) would be more appropriate as the lead image for the article on Babur (1483–1530), the Turco-Mongol founder of the Mughal Empire? पाटलिपुत्र (Pataliputra) (talk) 13:17, 12 June 2025 (UTC) |

Talk:List of Tarja Turunen concert tours
Should we move the festivals in the venue columns into explanatory footnotes next to the dates and change the venue to the venue that the festival took place, or should we keep it as is with the festival as the venue in the venue column? HorrorLover555 (talk) 14:53, 28 May 2025 (UTC) |
There is an active dispute on which game is the first entry in Nintendo's long-running Mario (franchise).

Talk:Dragon Age: The Veilguard
This RfC concerns subsection headings.
Breaking this off into a chunk to generate heading ideas; feel free to update above with suggestions. Hopefully we can come to a consensus on this but if not, I assume we'll be able to eliminate a few options & figure out how to structure a more formal discussion. This RfC seeks to establish clear inclusion criteria for the "Notable People" list, following a dispute over recent large-scale additions of individuals with primarily local careers. Murkut23 (talk) 18:24, 13 June 2025 (UTC) |

Should the spirit and intent of usually capitalized in sourcesat MOS:MILTERMS be taken as consistent with the general advice on capitalisation given in the lead of MOS:CAPS or is the spirit and intent to create a substantially different and lower threshold for capitalising the types of events named. In relation to current discussions on Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2025 May 21, should WP:CAMPAIGN be changed to allow such campaign boxes such as Template:Campaignbox Portuguese colonial campaigns as opposed to being restricted to "battles in a particular campaign, front, theater or war"? Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (definite or indefinite article at beginning of name)
In 2014, there was an RfC about using definite articles to achieve natural disambiguation. I have copied the proposal almost exactly below (only fixing some links that have changed since then), although I would urge all participants to read the RfC itself.
For additional context, the article currently located at Hulk was then at Hulk (comics). The RfC was closed as follows:
To the best of my knowledge, no change was ever implemented after the closure of that RfC, and it has not been overturned or overruled by a subsequent RfC. Should WP:THE include some language that indicates that use of a definite article to achieve natural disambiguation is acceptable? An example of proposed language (although this is open to change) could be something like this as a third condition, after the first two listed:
Here are some articles whose titles might be different if this were to pass (all of these have redirects in the format of "the x"): |
Should the following sentence be included in the lead section of T. V. S. N. Prasad?
This statement was added after the RfC began to satisfy WP:RFCNEUTRAL and WP:RFCBRIEF. 03:31, 21 May 2025 (UTC) |
