[edit]Kofi Amoako Attah, born 10th February,1989 is a Ghanaian Business Executive, Entrepreneur, Philanthropist and currently the founder and CEO of SIM Group of Companies Limited with subsidiaries in Supply Chain, Logistics, Import & Exports, travel and tour, , general trading and haulage industries. He was named the “Most Outstanding Personality” in Global Growth and Business Excellence in Ghana at the Ghana Industry CEO awards hosted at the 2024 edition.[1]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Kofi began his education at SOS Hermann Gmeiner International College, where he developed discipline, curiosity, and a strong academic foundation before advancing to St. Augustine’s College, where he honed his leadership skills and passion for Business & Finance. He then pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics at the University of Ghana, strengthening his analytical mindset and interest in global financial systems. Furthering his studies, he earned an MBA in Finance in the United States, equipping him with strategic financial management skills, and later specialised in Supply Chain Finance & Logistics at MIT, enhancing his expertise in logistics, efficiency, and innovation.
Careers
[edit]He has worked with diverse companies, from internships with Star Assurance, then National Service with Cardinal Oil Petroleum where he worked as a Finance Analyst for almost 2 years. Then he moved to KPMG where he worked in the Audit Department for almost 3 to 4 years, before moving to Dubai, UAE to work as a Finance Analyst EEMEA with Mondelez Int (mother-company of Cadbury). During his 5 years in Dubai, he took up some other roles, such as Acting in Procurement Controller EEMEA for almost 6 months, as well as Biscuit SC Finance Controller AMEA (which was based In India, for Asia Pacific Region, He then returned to West Africa, to support Manufacturing plants as the Plant Controller SC and Finance Business Partner, working with both Ghana and Nigeria, for almost 4 years.
Due to his passion for the finance sector & helping small scale businesses in Ghana, he moved to fidelity bank as the Finance Corporate BPM and was promoter after the first year to Senior Manager Finance Planning and Strategy working directly under Deputy MD for the Bank for almost 4 years.
