General: Article is new enough and long enough

Policy compliance:

  • Adequate sourcing: No - My (very) minor nitpick is that the quote paramount power needs a cite; added a citation needed. Ref 16 includes two sources, so it is unclear which one is being quoted.
  • Neutral: Yes
  • Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing: No - Earwig is spotless. Lebra 1986 is the only source I can access, so I have checked the following refs as of Special:Permalink/1286788882: 15 (all clear), 37 (all clear), 55 (see following sentences), 84 (all clear), and 104 (all clear). Some mild CLOP in ref 55: got the startling news that the Rani had escaped becomes received the unexpected news that the Rani had escaped; try something like learned the Rani escaped overnight. The word unexpected seems omittable per WP:POSA.
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
  • Cited: Yes - Offline/paywalled citation accepted in good faith
  • Interesting: Yes
Image: Image is freely licensed, used in the article, and clear at 100px.
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Great work! A very pleasant read. I really like how the translation of Jhansi Ki Rani still rhymes; do you know if it also rhymes in the original, or is that a English thing? (I know some cultures don't do rhyming poetry...) I really like ALT0, so that's my preference. HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 20:41, 26 April 2025 (UTC)

Thanks for the comments HouseBlaster. The "paramount power" quote appears in both Lebra and Singh, so I have removed the citation needed tag. I have also reworded the sentence on the escape—thanks for spotting this. I can confirm that the original poem does indeed rhyme; the first line ends "kahani thi" (कहानी थी) and the second "rani thi" (रानी थी). Awesome, AirshipJungleman29! Approved ALT0 :) HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 15:06, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
