Autobiography cites

[edit]

FYI - right now Franklin's Autobiography is cited several times, from different publishers/URLs/websites/etc - babel hathitrust, project gutenberg, ebooks, websites. I am going to bring them into agreement and only have one source citation for that reference. - Shearonink (talk) 23:01, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Magic squares

[edit]

Prof. E. G. Burger in his Teaching Company course " Zero to Infinity " mentions that Franklin , while a clerk for the Pennsylvania assembly, constructed magic squares. 71.168.229.249 (talk) 15:52, 5 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I suggest to change the sentence "Franklin's electrical experiments led to his invention of the lightning rod." to sth like "Franklin's electrical experiments led to his invention of the lightning rod, independently on Diviš's work."  Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Note that Wikipedia itself is not a reliable source, per WP:CIRC. Day Creature (talk) 00:36, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request - typo

[edit]

The following line seems to have a typo: "... 'If you do not, gentlemen,' said Mr. Penn, '1can tell you that you will be very apt to hang separately.'"

Presumably "1can" is meant to be "I can"
