Mirrors

[edit]

I thought I better point that the song "Mirrors", contrary to a popular fiction, was not written by Mike Oldfield, but was all Sally's own work. ACEOREVIVED (talk) 11:21, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Children of the Sun

[edit]

I was curious. Shouldn't this be included in the list of co-operations with Mike? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.238.152.31 (talk) 02:02, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality

[edit]

Are there any sources for her nationality? She was born in Dublin. The Mike Oldfield article says he was born: "to Raymond Henry Oldfield (1923–2016) an English general practitioner, and Maureen (née Liston), an Irish nurse from Charleville, County Cork, who emigrated to England to pursue career in nursing." Both Mike and brother Terry are described, in their respective articles, as "English". Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:19, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm removing nationality until we can settle the matter. Binksternet (talk) 16:35, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Probably a good idea. I see that Irish nationality law says: "All persons born in the Republic before 1 January 2005 are automatically citizens by birth regardless of the nationalities of their parents. But I also see that, at her official Facebook page, she presents herself as "an Irish/British singer songwriter". So, as per WP:ABOUTSELF, perhaps we ought to go with that?
