Wrong Photo in Info Box
[edit]Puritan -- the 1885 America's Cup defender that's the subject of this article -- had a single mast and a cutter rig, as shown in this photo from Wikimedia Commons: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:359-puritan_byJSJohnston.jpg
The vessel pictured in the info box at right is two-masted, and schooner-rigged . . . possibly the 1930 schooner yacht Puritan designed by John Alden. Somebody with more info-box-fixing expertise than I have should swap in literally any of the other images from the Wikimedia Commons page on the Puritan (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Puritan_(ship,_1885). - Thanks ABVR! I have changed the photo of the Puritan to the single mast image. --Greg Henderson (talk) 15:56, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
- According to this page:
- Puritan was converted to a schooner in 1896. 84.250.91.1 (talk) 20:16, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
