A fact from Pinmonkey appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 10 July 2025 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that the band Pinmonkey got their name from an episode of The Simpsons?

Leading paragraph summarizes the main points of the article without obvious omissions or excessive detail.
History section provides the necessary background to the group, given none of the individual members of the band have enough material to write a full article right now. Interesting that Natural Bridge came up - Dinosaur Kingdom II is there.
Musical career:
Any info on Rick Alter besides the fact that he is (presumably) a music manager?
No other notes here or on Musical style, Discography
Checking 12 sources here, selected randomly (and "Pinmonkey drives on" since it's used so often). Skipping any that point to Whitburn 2017 / Country Weekly since I can't read them myself. Numbering based on this revision:
[2] Y Interesting note that their tour bus caught fire in 2002 but I don't know where you could fit that in here.

So far passages that have been checked are markedly different from the prose here, and no online copyright violations have been found so far.
Broad: Any notes I can make here are covered in my remarks in the Prose section, which has little to complain about.
Narrow: Details about any part of their career and history are described when relevant, clear effort has been made to include interesting or noteworthy parts of the band's history without getting off-track.
Note: this represents where the article stands relative to the Good Article criteria. Criteria marked are unassessed

Overall: Everything is in good condition and passes standards. Next time, provide the quote for the hook. I believe the relevant quote for the hook, based on the source, is: "As for the name, a few years before, a friend who did booking at a Nashville club said they needed to pick a name to get on an advertisement. At the time, Reynolds was watching The Simpsons. Homer's big ambition was to get a job at bowling alley setting the pins. Thus, the name Pinmonkey." Hi, I have been recently lurking around this article (wanted pick up the GA nomination). Anyway, there some links that don't seem to work, and IABot (archival bot) is exhausted at the moment. So I'm dropping the link-dispenser analysis to not forget. —LastJabberwocky (Rrarr) 17:29, 4 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
