- ... that when someone accused George Chapman of basing his translation of the Odyssey on a Latin translation, he called them an "envious Windfucker" in the preface?
- Source: He also expressed loathing for an "envious Windfucker" who spread rumours that Chapman based his translation on an existing Latin translation instead of the original Greek.

- Since I've somewhat contributed to the article, I don't think I can review it, but I will suggest an alternative hook:
- ...that George Chapman called a person who spread rumors about his translation of the Odyssey an "envious Windfucker"?
- ―Howard • 🌽33 21:54, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- @Howardcorn33: The rumours have more than a bit of truth to them, so I'm not sure about this one. — ImaginesTigers (talk∙contribs) 22:34, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- then perhaps:
...that George Chapman called a critic of his translation of the Odyssey an "envious Windfucker"?
―Howard • 🌽33 22:43, 16 February 2025 (UTC)- I like mine because it's funny to me that he did it in the preface. Can see what others think. — ImaginesTigers (talk∙contribs) 22:47, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- I'm fine with any of the above hooks tbh ―Howard • 🌽33 22:50, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
