The result of the move request was: moved. per consensus on the alternative title. – robertsky (talk) 14:05, 10 February 2025 (UTC)
Mohamed Mustafa → Mohamed Mustafa (Sudanese footballer) – Ambiguous. See Mohammad Mustafa (disambiguation) MSMST1543 (talk) 00:04, 19 December 2024 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). ToadetteEdit (talk) 19:06, 22 December 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. - Oppose - no other articles called 'Mohamed Mustafa', the other articles at the dab page cited are spelt differently, WP:SMALLDETAILS. GiantSnowman 20:49, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman: The spelling is not enough to disambiguate. Other people’s names may also be spelled thay way: [1] [2] MSMST1543 (talk) 22:40, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- Like I said - see WP:SMALLDETAILS. GiantSnowman 12:32, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman: The spelling is not enough to disambiguate. Other people’s names may also be spelled thay way: [1] [2] MSMST1543 (talk) 22:40, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- Strong Support: Similar to Mohamed Omer and Ahmed Omer, remember that these names are translated as Mohamed is written one way in Arabic but not in English. FuzzyMagma (talk) 12:58, 30 December 2024 (UTC)

- Move to Mohamed Mustafa (footballer, born 1996) per usual for footballers. Transliteration of Arabic names is always awkward. -- Necrothesp (talk) 16:05, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- Support Necrothesp's alt move. Cremastra (u — c) 23:41, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose There is no conflicting article with the same spelling, Oloriebi234 (talk) 12:10, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
- Support. I agree with MSMST1543's showing that the spelling is not enough to disambiguate. I support the original proposal. Wikipedia:Naming conventions (sportspeople) allows nationality or birth year; for examples of nationality, see e.g. Talk:Schuster (Portuguese footballer)#Requested move 18 December 2024, Talk:Jorge Salinas (Paraguayan footballer)#Requested move 6 December_2024. Nationality in many cases may be inconclusive, but it appears to be clearly distinguishing in this case, and when it works it's more recognizable than year. Otherwise, I also secondarily support the alternate proposal. Adumbrativus (talk) 08:49, 31 January 2025 (UTC)
- Relisting comment: Relisting for more input regarding the alternate title. Also of possible note that while the current title is "Mohamed" the LEAD instead has "Muhamed " which might be worth discussing as well. TiggerJay (talk) 22:19, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
- Move to Mohamed Mustafa (footballer, born 1996) – Per Necrothesp. Svartner (talk) 01:57, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
- Support Necrothesp alternative Sushidude21! (talk) 02:02, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
