Is there any reason why is there a paragraph about his father being a firefighter and his father losing his work colleague in an accident while in a wikipedia article discussing his son? It bears no relevance to the rest of the article whatsoever. It's not a paragraph about Mike Johnson, it's a paragraph about his father.
Either nix it and give him his own wikipedia page, or omit it because it's absolutely irrelevant. If we start including everyone's parents because they did something heroic or noteworthy, then we'll have to fill wikipedia with entire lists of ancestors before a single word can be said about the person the page is supposed to be going over. 2A02:A313:82FE:7F80:31E1:6ECC:C050:8915 (talk) 02:54, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
"The Johnsons have five children, including an adult son, Michael Tirrell James. Johnson and his wife met James, who is black, at an event for Young Life Ministries,"
"Johnson rejects the scientific consensus on evolution." The source cited to support this statement does not mention anything about Johnson rejecting the scientific consensus of evolution. In fact, the next source cited in the following sentence, Huff Post, states "In the limited time that reporters and researchers have had to dig deeply into Johnson’s life ... it does not appear Johnson has publicly said anything to suggest he doesn’t accept the theory of evolution." Johnson's supposed rejection of evolution is not sufficiently supported and should be removed from the page in the absence of supporting evidence. 47.208.251.63 (talk) 18:06, 3 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
