Please stop including presidential side boxes into events
[edit]This is an incorrect application of those sideboxes. I will not be the only editor who so challenges you. BusterD (talk) 10:23, 18 April 2025 (UTC)
- If you do not stop I will be forced to block you. BusterD (talk) 10:24, 18 April 2025 (UTC)

- I saw that. When I looked at your many contributions this morning I decided to add the second note for emphasis. I'm of mixed feeling about this mass addition of presidential sidebars to events. I can see why someone would want to see them included, but it's clear the template visually overbalances most pages to which it's been applied. I'm not going to revert anything else myself for now (notice I only reverted
twothree). I'll politely ask you to hold fire at this time, and allow other editors to weigh in today (by their undiscussed response to your mass insertions). Let's let other editors have a chance to catch up to your WP:BOLD and your industry. Some others may have the reflexive reaction I demonstrated; maybe they won't. Does that sound reasonable to you? Bernkastel5: While I have no opinion on the appropriateness of the appearance of these sidebars on certain articles, I do want to recommend that in the future to please transclude these templates when using them. Copy/pasting the entire contents of a template into an article is usually not a good idea. These sidebar templates contain code (like categorization) that is specific to the template itself, and this code does not belong in articles. It causes problems like incorrect categorization of the target article. Transclusion is easy. For example, just add {{Abraham Lincoln series}} wherever you want the sidebar to appear. See here for how I replaced one of your edits with transclusions. Cheers! --DB1729talk 01:12, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
