Importance of article - discussion
[edit]I vote for TOP importance but would accept HIGH. Speaking only for myself, the Mary Plain books were my childhood favourites in the early 1950s. So I rank them now alongside The Wind in the Willows; The Lord of the Rings; Life, the Universe and Everything; and many of the Terry Pratchett books at the top of my personal Great Books list. I rank by both poetry of language and depth of sentiment. Less subjective evidence is the continuing publication of sequels, and broadcasting on BBC Radio and TV[see Article]. Support HIGH. Like the previous poster, I had copies of Mary Plain in the late 1940's (when there were far fewer books than now) Petermr (talk) 16:03, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
Must agree about the importance of Mary Plain. I also suggest that there should be a mention of the Fur Coat Lady in the characters section. 110.21.184.239 (talk) 21:26, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
