What's the correct name?
[edit]"MLB Tokyo Series 2025" is used three times and "2025 MLB Tokyo Series" is used three times. Which one is right? -- Pemilligan (talk) 00:00, 18 March 2025 (UTC)
- It should be 2025 MLB Tokyo Series, (like 2019 MLB London Series, and MLB Tokyo Series should eventually be its own article (like we have MLB London Series, MLB Mexico Series, etc. But also, every Division Series, World Series, season, etc, uses it to start. I'll open a move request, though I don't think it will be controversial. Chew(V • T • E) 23:28, 18 March 2025 (UTC)

MLB Tokyo Series 2025 → 2025 MLB Tokyo Series – The title should be normalized to have the year at the beginning. Every other series has the year and then the series name. 2024 World Series, 2019 MLB London Series. Officially, the name seems to be "2025 MLB World Tour: Tokyo Series" (though I have seen MLB Tokyo Series 2025 in some places, it is by no means officially used) and I think with this level of inconsistency, we should fall back to what we normally use. - Comment. I'm neutral about such a change, but compare with MLB Japan Opening Series 2008. Aside: interested editors may also want to see the discussion I've opened here about potentially creating an MLB Tokyo Series article. Dmoore5556 (talk) 02:16, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- A compromise would be 2025 MLB Tokyo Series being used as a redirect. Sd-100 (talk) 18:17, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose. Consistency would be good but it's better to have the sport at the beginning rather than the year. The claim that Every other series has the year and then the series name. 2024 World Series, 2019 MLB London Series. is just not true. These two examples are not typical. See just for example Category:Major League Baseball international baseball competitions. Andrewa (talk) 03:32, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- My preference, as I mentioned on the project talk page, is to merge all of these articles (London, Seoul, Tokyo, Mexico) into a MLB World Tour article.. The individual series by themselves are not notable. Spanneraol (talk) 21:29, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
- I agree with this and would support a merge discussion if it were opened Chew(V • T • E) 22:37, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
- I went to the page assuming there would be enough there to warrant its own page but was very surprised by what I saw. Mostly trivia and sponsor information. I, too, would support a merge. --TorsodogTalk 11:41, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
