M1301 Infantry Squad Vehicle → M1301 infantry squad vehicle – Per WP:MILCAPS, we don't capitalized the phrase after the alphanumeric designator unless it's a proper name (as in M1 Abrams). Here "infantry squad vehicle" is a generic descriptive phrase, not a proper name. Dicklyon (talk) 04:49, 31 March 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 14:31, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- Support Per MOS:MILCAPS. This is a description of the vehicle's function/role. It is not commensurate with Abrams that we would cap per the guidance. While it is a style to capitalise an expanded abbreviation, per MOS:EXPABBR, we don't do that. Capitalisation in sources to introduce an initialism, either directly or in close proximity to its first use does not indicate that caps are necessary here. - Support Per nomination. ScrabbleTiles (talk) 15:24, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose - from source it is used as a proper name.
