The result of the move request was: no consensus. After ten days there does not appear to be movement on this RM and as such consensus on the name change has not been established. Dr vulpes (Talk) 04:41, 29 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Lodhi ColonyLodi Colony – updating name to match Lodi dynasty this colony is named after, Lodhi is a mispelling confused with a different Lodha/Lodhi caste. RevolutionaryPatriot (talk) 08:14, 19 January 2025 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). RevolutionaryPatriot (talk) 16:06, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose per WP:COMMONNAME. RevolutionaryPatriot, you were asked for sourcing evidence at the WP:RM/TR discussion, to say why you think this should be at Lodi rather than Lodhi, but I haven't seen any. Ngrams suggest that the present form is more common - [1] and the source [2], which is one of two used in the article also uses that spelling. Whether it's named after the Lodi dynasty or not isn't really relevant here, we're looking for the common title for this particular topic. Cheers  — Amakuru (talk) 11:51, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Because that's specialised spelling in India. In India they call the Lodi Dynasty as Lodhi dynasty, thats the common name prevailing there. A government colony in an Indian city will only be searched for and published on in India itself, hence the prevailing spelling. I'm arguing Correct spelling.
