Potential leads
[edit]These shouldn't be added yet, but could be things to look into as the Switch wraps up its lifespan and websites start writing up their retrospective "hey remember how these games were announced and never came out?" or "These Switch games got moved to 'Switch 2'" type articles. Reformatting
[edit]What is the point of the bolding and centering of the title names? I've been actively moving lists away from that look, as it always looks strange to me that have just one column that is both bolded and center aligned like that. Sergecross73 msg me 17:26, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Pinging Cyberlink420 since you seem to be going full force with this change across articles... Sergecross73 msg me 17:27, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- That was per the accessibility review I got on the Cancelled N64 Games article. "Tables need row scopes on the "primary" column for each row, which in combination with column scopes lets screen reader software accurately determine and read out the headers for each cell of a data table. Row scopes can be added by adding
!scope=row
to each primary cell, e.g.|id="0–9"|''[[1080° Snowboarding 2]]''
becomes!scope=row id="0–9"|''[[1080° Snowboarding 2]]''
. If the cell spans multiple rows with a rowspan, then use!scope=rowgroup
instead." -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 17:30, 11 July 2025 (UTC)- I'm not really sure why this requires bolding and centering the column like this though...? Is there a way of making these accessibility changes without that outcome? It's always looked ugly and strange to me. That's why I've always ripped it out of the lists during the cleanup process. Sergecross73 msg me 17:32, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Not to my knowledge, no. But I have no problem with things looking a little "off" if it means the table is more accessible. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 17:40, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- I just can't understand why it would require this, and that any other lists are somehow not compliant. Sergecross73 msg me 17:41, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- It's apparently all listed in MOS:DTAB. You could ask PresN about it since they were the first (but not only) one that recommended the row scopes be added. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 17:56, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
