Absolutely necessary ?

It was necessary to bring up the sourcing quality of the parent article enough for it to be listed under the WP:ITNRD column on the main page. It also meets WP:NLIST as sources often discuss the number of awards he has received. Aaron Liu (talk) 11:35, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also, some of the honors mentionned seem to have been awarded only once, like the Gandhi International Prize for Social Responsibility, the Rizal International Peace Award, the Golden Heart Award from the Knights of Rizal, the Wee Kim Wee Gold Award, the Simon Wiesenthal Center International Tolerance Award, the Education as Transformation Award from the Education as Transformation Project.

Synthesis

@Raoul mishima As the person who added that information, I'm sure you know what new conclusion this presents (else why would you add it?). Only counting the Chinese honors separately implies that those are somehow more important than the others, and saying "none were from any Japanese university" implies that Japanese honors would be very important. You imply that there is some sort of illegitimacy in these honors. The example at Synth is exactly like this: an undue count that's synthesized with other things to provide a separate conclusion.
