"List of The Hunger Games characters" vs "Characters of The Hunger Games"
[edit]There doesn't seem to be a definite (or preferred) way of naming character pages. See: Characters of Smallville (a good article) or Characters of Glee - both are well written articles and are named in the "Characters of" format. Personally, I like "Characters of The Hunger Games" better and I wouldn't mind moving the page to that if others agree. It's less wordy, which I like. Anyone else have an opinion on this? iMatthew / talk 19:22, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
- I'd also suggest we add "series" into the title -- such as "Characters of The Hunger Games series" iMatthew / talk 19:26, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
Yes, I really think you're right. We should edit. Gooseberrycheesecake (talk) 22:47, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
This is about the book, not the movie
[edit]Since there is a separate article List of The Hunger Games cast members, it is not necessary to list the actors' names here. JustinTime55 (talk) 18:06, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
Minor Characters
[edit]Um. Not a single character on the Minor list is minor. I can fix it but cannot handle the fight about it just now. 100.33.33.130 (talk) 17:29, 22 November 2016 (UTC)
- This is very easily fixed without "fighting". The purpose of separating these characters is obviously to distinguish them from the main characters and the other tribute characters. Is "supporting characters" acceptable? JustinTime55 (talk) 20:21, 22 November 2016 (UTC)
Recent copyedit reverted
[edit]@NorthwestPassage: @KingOreo123: It was a net negative; for example "Capitol failed to save Peeta from the arena as they did her," was replaced by "here" which is an error in understanding the grammar of the sentence. Dropping "in order" and "individual" removes information from the prose... why? to make it more concise? Some typos were fixed and can be integrated manually, but overall it was not a constructive edit. Thanks. Elizium23 (talk) 03:54, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- Elizium23, I see what you mean now. I might go back in there later and fix some of the typos. Thanks again for the clarification, –NorthwestPassage talk 03:57, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- Elizium23,Sorry I did not mean to change her to here, that was a mistake on my part KingOreo123 (talk) 20:31, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
Individual training
[edit]If you go through to each tributes section, it says the score they received for their "individual training" I feel like there are better terms we could use to describe this, but I could not think of any. Any ideas? KingOreo123 (talk) 20:02, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- KingOreo123, over on Fandom they call them "private sessions" because they are with the Gamemakers only. (As in, the times when Katniss shot the pig's apple, and made an effigy of Seneca Crane.) I agree that "individual training" isn't a good term for this. It's not a training so much as an exhibition of skills and talents. Elizium23 (talk) 20:42, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- Elizidum23 that is a good idea, do you want to change or should I?KingOreo123 (talk) 01:27, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
- I changed them (thank you visual editor). There weren't as many as I thought. (By the way, when pinging other users, it only works when you create your original comment and sign it. If you try to add it in later, no ping will be sent. It's OK, I'm watching this page already.) Elizium23 (talk) 04:41, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
Tribute Woof
[edit]Why did tribute Woof get taken out of the tribute section( and the whole article) I know he had a small section but still...KingOreo123 (talk) 00:52, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
- Simple vandalism, or a mistaken edit, munged the section a bit. I reverted. Elizium23 (talk) 02:22, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
Article for President Snow?
[edit]Since President Snow is getting his movie releasing soon should we give him an article? HiGuys69420 (talk) 16:12, 30 April 2023 (UTC)
Add a 50th Hunger Games section?
[edit]With the release of Sunrise on the Reaping shouldn't there be a section for those tributes? Curtainbird (talk) 02:10, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- I think there should be one. Afheather (talk) 03:43, 20 March 2025 (UTC)

The part about Louella McCoy rewriten with extra facts; the fact that she was his "sweetheart" and that the other tributes called her Lou Lou (because they couldn't call het Louella but it should sound close).
Louella McCoy, a thirteen-year-old girl, was reaped along with Haymitch and two others for the 50th Hunger Games, and was Haymitch's first ally. She and Haymitch have been friends since they were kids, she was his "sweetheart". She dies during the tribute parade and Haymitch carries her body to the steps of President Snow's mansion. She is later replaced with a body double (named Lou Lou by the other tributes) who has been forced to replace the deceased Louella and drugged by the Capitol to "act normal" via a pump in her chest. Decades later, a young Katniss Everdeen reminds Haymitch of Louella.
Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Yours truly, Stuffinwriting | talk | sign | contributions 03:34, 23 April 2025 (UTC)
Effie
[edit]Effie is Haymitch's reluctant stylist, who ends up being dragged into working with District 12 by the then escort, Drusilla Sickle, after attempting to help her younger sister Proserpina who has been assigned the district as part of her assignment for school.
In this book, Effie is shown to have helped Haymitch from before his time in the arena. After he wins, Effie also supports as part of his team, at Plutarch's request, for the Victory tour. Haymitch notes that Effie tries to keep him sober during the train journey. Teagoose (talk) 15:08, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
