Other users before this article was blocked keep bringing back Happy Tree Friends on the List of Universal Television programs article even though Universal never produced. I requested a decrease protection so that no one will add Happy Tree Friends on this article again 82.37.139.114 (talk) 20:38, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
IP users removed "continued from NBC Studios" text for shows that were originally produced by NBC Studios before the merger with Universal. It needs to kept for this reason. 148.252.129.112 (talk) 08:04, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List of NBCUniversal television programs → List of Comcast television programs – This article lists shows produced by Sky Studios (and it's subsidiaries), which is not part of NBCUniversal but rather part of Sky Group, another company owned by Comcast. Additionally, Sky has its own section in the article with other companies that are owned by NBCU, which is misleading and confusing as it can make people assume it's part of NBCU. It would be more suitable if most of the sections were put into an NBCU section, which would exist with the Sky section. I think it would be better if there were individual sections for NBCU and Sky (and then move the page). Sky Studios also probably is not large enough (in library) to warrant its own article, especially since it outsources distribution to NBCU. I'm struggling to understand why this article is yet to fully adapt to the sale of Sky to Comcast and subsequent formation of Sky Studios. Usually when a media company acquires another company, the acquiring company's programs article is updated to show the acquired company's shows (Entertainment One used to have its own programs article before it got sold to Lionsgate, whose article now lists shows produced by eOne, for example). If this proposal goes through, I'm sure there will still be larger articles of this sort, so why not just go through with it? Inpops (talk) 17:38, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@162 etc. You're forgetting something. Sky Studios is owned by Comcast, which also owns NBCU. It really doesn't make sense to have seperate them into two articles when they're under the same company. I see your proposal to be no different than having seperate articles for shows produced by Warner, HBO, Cartoon Network etc. (despite them all being owned by the same damn company). Inpops (talk) 15:56, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just because a studio is a subsidiary doesn't mean there is no merit in having list articles for the subsidiaries. Yes, as an example HBO and Cartoon Network are owned by the same holding company, but declaring their works to be produced by the holding company may be disingenuous, given that they produce significantly different content. (and I wanted to clarify that was in response to your last reply, I'm trying to wrap my head around the actual request which seems a little different than that) ASUKITE16:43, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just split the page. Just because something is related to something else does not mean it has to live in the same article. Gonnym (talk) 07:56, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
