Stations dates

[edit]

Does anyone have any data regarding the opening (and closure) dates of these stations, like other wikipedia pages do? It's very confusing trying to find data about eg Skellingthorpe station only to be redirected to a page that does not discuss its history or its service. There is also confusion to the difference between the two Skellingthorpe stations and if they both served the same passengers. Other wikipedia pages are clearer. @AsparagusTips: I've added the opening dates, but since many of them were also the opening date of the line and therefore the same as each other, I've left them out of the list and summarised these at the bottom, to avoid clutter. I've not added closure dates: partly this is to avoid additional clutter, but also because some stations closed and subsequently reopened. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 16:52, 3 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
As for Skellingthorpe, this did have an article but it got taken to AfD (which may be found here). Personally, I disagreed - you may find my reasoning in that AfD; but I also have the feeling that there are some people with a dislike for railway station articles except for the very biggest, and this one (being only open for three years and five months) was seen as low-hanging fruit, worthy of being expunged. It's not even as if it were a one-line stub - the final version at the time the AfD closed is here. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 17:15, 3 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
