As you can see, the article's in place now. But that's because of the Juno Award nomination that rolled in yesterday, because he didn't pass WP:NMUSIC for anything before that happened. It's important to remember that Wikipedia is not a free public relations platform for aspiring future stars to publicize themselves — we're an encyclopedia, on which achieving something notable comes first and then the Wikipedia article follows, not vice versa. As of right now, it's the Juno Award nomination that clinches him per NMUSIC #8, and nothing that happened before yesterday was enough to pass NMUSIC before the Juno Awards weighed in.
