[edit]

I've made some edits to the pre-existing article. Just want to say that I am not an IABC member. I do belong to a competing professional organization but am neutral to IABC. Canuckle 19:49, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am not, and have never been, a member of IABC, nor any competing organziation. Bearian 20:36, 12 July 2007 (UTC) Bearian 20:37, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am the web content manager at IABC and have been in that role since June 2013. I had not heard of IABC before going to work for them, so I don't have a long history with the association. and I came across the Wikipedia entry while doing a Google search on an upcoming event. I noticed that it had some outdated information, some incorrect info by people who are not neutral towards IABC and omitted other basic information, so I added it. I am a journalist by training so I try to write in a way that's neutral and supported by facts. I also added many links to references. I had never edited a Wiki before, so I was caught off guard by the email about not editing your own entry. I'm leaving this notation here so other editors can review what I've added and make needed modifications so it complies with the Wikipedia guidelines. Thanks so much! Good Article

[edit]

I would like to make this my next target for a GA article. It's a very small article, so should be fairly easy to bring it to GA. I asked IABC if they have a high-rez logo on a transparent background and if they have any images. There is a local IABC event in January - if I don't get an image from them, I'll just show up and take my own.

If anyone has any feedback on what else it needs (besides images) I'm eager for feedback. Corporate 16:44, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Luckily I got an image from O'Dwyer's he was willing to donate. Corporate 23:48, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Whilst it past GA review in 2013, the article has not been updated to reflect organization history since 2014. There's a few uncited statements and number of staff is not verified. Also article says it's based in San Francisco, when this says Chicago. https://www.iabc.com/about/contact. Also although an organization, it would benefit for example with a photo of its activities or leaders to meet GA criterion 6. LibStar (talk) 05:26, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I did some cleanup of spammy, trivial, and/or uncited content. It would be great to have some history covering the 2013-2025, but I didn't find anything we could cite for this at-a-glance. CorporateM (Talk) 00:27, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
