There is a contradiction in the dates in the article

[edit]

The opening sentence in the section "Shakespeare translations" reads:

Noted as "the very first Polish translator of Shakespeare", Hołowiński began working on translations of William Shakespeare's works into the Polish language during the first half of the 1830s while at Zytomierz

The first line of the "Writer and critic" section reads:

Hołowiński first began translation work in 1840, when he published a translation of Petrarch.

Which is it, early 1830s or 1840? Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 01:20, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Looking back at the source I used for the second line ([1]), it should be 1830s (his first volume of Shakespeare translations was published in 1839). I'll revise the latter to read as such. Hwqaksd (talk) 01:38, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Quick service! I enjoyed the article. Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 01:45, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
